It was not his special talk but at my father's funeral talk by the C.O. I was centered out as being the prodigal son, it really pi$$ed me off along with many of my non JW family and friends.

Fading? What's up?
by arker ini was a jw, finally saw my chance and wrote a letter to the elders saying how bad i am and how i don't want to meet to discuss it and to df me if you want.
that was the end of it for me.
my question is if you know you are "fading" you are already gone so why not make the leap?

I have been Inducted.....
by AK - Jeff ini was officially installed as a member of kiwanis international last evening.
one other member and i had been attending since spring as members but never had the ceremony.
they finally got around to it this week.

Congratulations Jeff...that is a worthwhile cause as a member of the Rotary I know the good these organizations do to help ones in need,and it will give you a feeling of satisfaction for helping others. Good for you.

Lets talk about 1975
by lola28 inok here's what i need, theres a group on facebook that has a kid that claims the events of 1975 are nothing but rubish, basically he says that it was the publishers who just started rumors, this is where you guys come in.. i want to show him that the society is responsible for 1975 that they did in fact lead millions to believe the end was coming that fall, that people actually did make dramatic changes in their lives ( getting dunked, selling houses, not having children, moving where the need is greater) you get the drift.
i need the following:.
watchtower, awake and any other publications where they even hinted at the 1975 dateand i think the most important would be to get some of you to tell me everything you know about 1975.and experinces, who of you made some drastic changes in anticipation of 1975?lola.

I lived through 1975 and where did the publishers get all the hype, it was from the watchtower study, not from any other source.

I was long gone by the time the internet came in. But I still appreciate this sight 27 years later.
I still feel the effects of shunning by my three daughters. I send them info from JWD but they do not respond.
