A NEW Flock book has been released, with notes by a Presiding Overseer
by Elsewhere infor several years there has been available a pay attention to yourselves and to the flock book in pdf and html format.
this book has proven to be extremely valuable in exposing the morally questionable activities of the watchtower society.
now we have a new version that is even more valuable because it contains the hand-written notes of a presiding overseer, some notes as recent as late 2005. these notes are frequently dictated to elders by a circuit overseer or district overseer in order to avoid liability (the wts can deny every giving such instructions).

the damn Watchtman duties had some benefits. Since you had the keys to all the offices, you also had the key to the kitchen...during a run, I would grab me some govement cheese and sneak back out like a rat.
I used to have most of my watchman shifts at 360 ...the only cheese there was what the rats ...and I mean big rats.... would leave behind.
There were still "worldy" tenants on some of the floors ...a cosmetic company, etc....it was spooky some of the time....but it got one out of a meeting. :-)

I've sent this study to a handful of people who requested it and am more than happy to do so.
However, more than one person has requested the study but not supplied an e-mail address to which I can send the study.
Unless you can instruct me on how to send it to you via this site (a feat I don't think is possible...but might be?) I'll need a regular e-mail.
Set up a Yahoo, Hotmail, or other web-based free account if you're worried about privacy.
Best regards.

Rutherford and William Jennings Bryan
by VM44 indoes anyone know where it mentioned that rutherford was involved in william jennings bryan's presidential campaign(s)?
also, i recall reading that rutherford said bryan was god's choice as president for the usa!
if that was so, then it is very strange that bryan was never elected president!.

Penton mentions on page 47 that Rutherford was attracted to Bryan's "populist ideals" and footnotes to page 348 that Rutherford actually campaigned for Bryan.

I forgot to mention the Thomas' English Muffins which were available for free...day(s) old stuff...but free.
On one family night skit they did a "101 Things to do with the Thomas' English Muffins" skit. Quite funny.
Door stops, mini-pizzas, etc...

I loved it.
As Blondie said, one could "glean" food they wanted to eat and if something was not too good you could eat the leftovers.
The cheesecake and other desserts were exceptional, IMHO.
For most of my stay our table was a joke... breakfast and lunch were assigned seating and supper was open seating.

Comments from "30 Years a Watchtower Slave" that surprised me.....
by AK - Jeff ini had begun to read schnell's book when we first left - but in the 'fresh out of the borg' mental state, i had found it too caustic.
now i am reading it and find it quite interesting due to the time frame - in judge rutherford's era.. one of the premises that he states repeatedly in the book, took me by surprise.
i would be curious if any could confirm/deny the reality of his accusations here.
