Well it is obvious the Schizm, that you have nothing to offer other than personal attacks. We have asked you qustions that you avoid. Yet you want to attack the clergy, and I doubt if there are any clergy members here. I guess that makes it real easy for you though. Anyway, the WT elders park in the clergy spaces at hospitals and elsewhere and by your own admition you do to, so that must make you an ass. (Sorry but I'm only following your logic)

got my stopwatch.............
by BlackSwan of Memphis inlet's say you have 20 seconds (give or take) to make an impression on a jw.
to say something that will stick in their head and make them really think.
because you know, that once they realize you are an apostate, they will shut down anything else that you have to say.. what do you say?.

Schizm please tell us that you don't really believe all this you've said. You can say with all confidance that others on this board do not have the determination to do Gods will? Does that not put you in a position of judgment? And I ask you by what means do you judge, and by what standards? The "religious leaders" that you refer to are generally very patriotic.- So, what does that prove? They haven't got the "balls" to live by the Bible's standards! They're cowards, actually, and in a sense "criminals" as well. - Well thank God we have you with your ability to read the hearts of others. Tell us what Bible standards are they not living by.
It's the determination to be doing God's will that shows that a religion is "true". - This is the most subjective thing you could have said to "prove" your point. (Which is exactly why you said it). Who exactly makes the determination weather or not a person or a religion(since you seem to believe that being in a religion, the "Only true religion", is what saves you) is determined to do Gods will. Do you really want to say that you personally know for a fact which religion/religions have the determination to do Gods will. Can you honestly tell me that the mothers of Judas, Stalin, and Hitler loved their sons any less the Mary loved Jesus. Can you say as an undenialable fact that the Buddist monks, the Muslem praying to Allah five times a day, and even the late Mother Theresa are/were not determined to do gods will? - We know you short answers but please enlighten us with your perfict wisdom and explain you answers to us.
If you really believe the Bible and Jesus then, you will have to know that everyone will be judged by Christ as an individual based on their own life, not by what group you belong to.

Which Church do I go to now?
by jwfacts ini personally feel no particular need for institutionalised religion, but recognise it is a benefit to many people.
however i am constantly asked, "where do i go to now?
what is the best answer to give someone?

A lot of great answers, yet I wonder if we are missing the point.
If someone leaving the WT is asking "Where (what church) do I go to now?", then we must show them that they are still thinking with their witness mind. That is a "proof scripture" they miss quote within their circular reasoning to trick newbies. We need to show them that in the scripture Jesus was asked "Whom do we go away to, you have the sayings of life". Meaning singular, one person. We can then ask them does the WT not deny Jesus his place by putting themselves in his place.
God, how were we all so blind as to not see how simple this really is?

That being the case, according to the WT, Paul would have been the "organization" and therefore apposing Paul would be worse than having sex with your fathers wife. Yet in either case it does not say he repented.

I would like to know where in 2 Cor. is it stated that this man "later repented". It does not say that the cong. should go and get him, bring him back, show him "genuine" love- lest Satan overtake him. But it does not say he repented first.

Please help! I have NO idea what to do with this!
by Elsewhere inat work we are supposed to setup "goals" for a "performance review" later in the year.
i *hate* things like this because i don't understand what i'm supposed to put in the document.
it is far too subjective with no defined requirements that i can wrap my brain around.

The Bible puts Birthdays in a bad light? How by talking about two birthdays, celabrated by evil men, who did evil things. Well at a wedding party Jesus turned water into wine, and did so after many barrels of wine were already consumed. Further people then drank that wine, and it was the best wine. So I guess since the Bible puts wine in a good light we should all indulge.

non-information
by DannyBloem inwhat was/is one of the most annoying things for me at the meetings, was the amount of non-information that the watchtower gives.. it is like rading the entire wt or whatever book and all that they basically say is like: preach more, or whatever.. when you look at the (mirrors of) the quotes site, you see very few interesting quotes of the last 25 years or so.
just because they basically do not say anything at all.
do you feel the same way?

For me one of the biggest non info thing in the WT was when the last paragraph would read "In our next article we will learn....".
And then they would ask the question, "What will we learn in the next article?" That is one of the most pathetic things they can do the prove that they really have nothing to say.

I love that..."only what is nessasary for our immediate needs." No planing for the future, no planing for retirement, only enough to live hand to mouth. That's it, lets keep them inslaved and in bondage then, if they leave they will be destitute. Also what do their "immediate needs" consist of? Food, WT approved clothing, a moderate inconspicuous dwelling, WT publications, donations to the society, donations to the local hall, and if you do have any material possessions you are told every year in a big article "Many people often ask, 'how can I leave my dwindling estate to the Society?'"
They suck.
