  Locks on Bethel Doors: True?

  i recall that it's been mentioned in passing here on a few threads that there are locks on the bethel rooms.

  this to me is significant, since when i was there in the sixties, there were none, and this wasa source of considerable pride in some circles.. can someone confirm, please?.

  during my day, they caught one bethel thief, a guy whose dad was a prominent circuit overseer who served in nyc at the time.

  you guys have it all wrong!
  those locks were to keep gov body member greenlees out of the rooms of the young men at night....... before they removed him as a gov body member, they tried everything to controll him,..... but it just didn't work!!! .......so they made him a special pioneer elder, and sent him to an unsuspecting cong.

  Blood Transfusions and Pedophilia

  we took a hard look and opted out for ethical and pragmatic reasons.

  though the issues share a common thread (child abuse), they have to be approached in different ways.

  hi lee elder,

  i agree, they are two seperate issues.

  it's really all just the tip of the ice berg.
  divorce, familes breaking up, depression, suicide.....

  attacking the pedophile problem is a clearer way for everyone to understand how warped and wicked the gov body really is.

  BASIC "FACTS"?....... you meant theory, right???

  are you sure the wt society belongs to god?..... and jesus is the head of your congregation????...... is there any evidence of it?
  it seems to me that a pedophile paridise in not evidence that jesus is head of your organization.
  you made national tv...... about a pedophile, rape "crisis", and you claim it's god's organization, so don't worry about it?????

  i wonder if little 5 yr old children think it's god's organization,... afer they have been raped, and go to an elder, just to be told they don't have 2 witnesses, and so they better shut up.

  do they really think it's god's organization, for the next 10 yrs, while they are repeatedly raped, and silenced by the elders, and the rest of the congregation???......... just wondering.

  PRECIOUS THE CAT

  my jw neighbors were just young, 18...... when they got married.. they had cats and dogs.... soon the pressures of life, and being a jw took effect, and they seperated,,,,,,,,,, the girl left precious, her cat behind.......it was a better place for her here.. precious was heatbroken...... she was never the same.. it's been around ten years now, ...... and in the last few years, my nieghbor didn't have much time for precious anymore.. so she started hanging around me, over here most of the time.. i buried her just now,...... in my backyard, where she laid down and died.. i hate death,...... it brings back memories of what 2 young beautiful people wanted....... love happiness......pets.. goodbye precious......... i learned alot from you..... i wish i would have given you more love.

  i've just been reading the watchtower's blood policy and i think i've got it.

  the wtbtss give you a "one shot" deal.

  if you accept a blood transfusion once and express sorrow and regret, you're forgiven and can remain in good standing.

  THE SECRET OF FAMILY CRAPINESS

  i know of a lady that started to study with her husband and to keep the story fairly brief, i shall omit smaller details although they are not unimportant.

  as the study progressed, at different rates (the mrs was more taken in than the mr.) so they were split up, ie.

  2 studies were then underway,(more hours to report!

  you forgot to mention that mrs is now emotionally bankrupt, and bro elder, who is comforting her every day, while they are alone, out in service, is closer to her than her own husband....... she need's love and affection, and bro elder is there for her..... it's not adultry, they are just comforting one another...

  i got a couple of lurkers emailing to me at the moment!.

  anyway.... one of them has a question and we need the input of a boffin like alan f, or jt.. elderly lady, just got df,after 40 years of service, wants to know, now shes df, will the org still take her money that shes bequeathed to them in her will.?.

  does she need to change her will to prevent the org from gettings its clammy claws on her bucks.?.

  here's what happens,....... the widow dies, so the autorities take her away,......... then they call next of kin......... well, they also call the local elders, to find out about things, and the local elders, show them the will. ........ the "will" sent to the headquarters, and they are appointed to handle everything........ and the house and money is theirs........ ok, so they go through her belongings, and find a new will.......hmmmmm.....

  "all of them witches" was the name of the book that mia farrow read in in the film "rosemary's baby" which eventually lead her to believe that ruth grodon, ralph bellamy, and several other actors from the 40's and 50's rooming in her apartment were satan-worshippin' wiitches.

  in this day in age i think people who are witches in real life have to live with various stereotypes permeated from movies, t.v.

  shows, and whatnot.

  no, it's not hypocritical in their eyes!........ in fact, their lawyers can pove it's the gov body's money.

  and since she is disfellowshipped, they don't owe her a burial,...
