  women in the bible

  the latest debate at bdf's home seems to be about a womans place in a church.

  can some ex-jws, or current jw's, give me the scriptures used by the wtbts to keep women from serving as leaders in the congragations?

  how about some examples of women used by god to spread his message.. thanks everyone!

  Thinking about God, gives me a migraine..really

  i am serious, i have have noticed a distinct pattern in my headache.

  flare ups here lately.

  when i decide to start reading the bible or give spiritual mediation a try, i start to get sick.

  in a previous thread dmouse mocks me for giving a serious reponse to what i see as a serious question about infinity from pubsinger.. it said that " it has nothing to do with reality, its just a logic problem " or some crap to that tune.. ok dmouse to appease yourself to the board, and buy back face, i ask you the following.

  please answer according to the " obvious law " you imposed on me.

  i think it is wise for us to rise up and be counted so that we know who each other are.

  hi clash,

  the sky has always been the limit...
  but so far "bible believing christians" have started numerous organizations of oppression,,,,,,,in which their bible believing members kill each other because of differences in beliefs.

  could there be something wrong with the bible?

  all human problems such as starvation, disease, and injustice will be solved at armageddon because god is going to kill everyone living that isn't a witness.

  currently, that's 99.9% of the human race.. i'm gonna use this next time i meet a jw who starts to witness to me or calls on me at my new address.... jw: do you believe that all of societies problems like starvation or disease will be solved one day?.

  ak: yes, according to your religion those problems will be solved because the people who have the problems will be destroyed at armageddon cos they didn't convert to your religion.. wonder if i can get them to say that jw's aren't the only ones to be saved at armageddon.. from ak

  hi bathory,

  so basically you are saying,,,,,"get over it"?..."stop bashing jws"?

  well,...for some of us here, it's a learning process, we bash what we now know is a lie.........some are even bashing the idea that a "just god" would act the way that the bible describes god acting.....they have moved on in their belief system, no longer being held back by a book that makes god out to be a cold hearted exterminater.

  if you thought the world was flat, but wanted to learn more, wouldn't some of the people that you learn from "bash" the idea that the world is flat?

  alot of them believe that with all thier heart.......they would just put it to you a little more tactful...but deep down inside they truly believe that only a few will be saved,,,,,,,and they are it.

  most jws can barely keep up with the watchtower reading and other assignments....when do they have time to think?......plus, they are obedient to the suggestions of not reading outside material.
  it's way easier to just think someone is trying to smear the gov body........like the gov body instructs them to think.
