Do not be disturbed by what you percieve as snide comments from some, for if you have been around this site for some time you would see that there have been many who "hit and run", quick to make accusations, say something they feel as would make God proud and scurry away before a real dialogue can be engaged. Their purpose is merely to stir things up, much in the same way many people do on discussion boards that have nothing to do with any kind of religion. It is human, and not just "worldly" nature to get annoyed at such behavior and it seemed that you were merely just another one of those people.
What impressed me is that you actually came back to read what kind of response you would get, possibly in order to strengthen your own faith in what you currently believe by the reactions of others who don't believe as you do. This is fine, this is human nature as well. In fact when you get down to it, we all are compelled by our own nature to believe things, to fear things, to love things, etc. Each of us combines human nature with our own beliefs to get us to where we are.
My only wish for you is not that you tear down your faith, or that you believe as I do, or that you believe anything at all, my wish for you is that you respect yourself enough to give yourself a well rounded knowledge of the world around you, history and human nature. Give yourself knowledge and facts from many sources and then re-evaluate what "truth" is, within yourself. Take off your Watchtower colored glasses and in the spirit of Acts 17:11 determine if what you are hearing is true. Truth always stands up to scrutiny and truth never has any need to be afraid. Do you have the truth? Then ask yourself, what are you afraid of?
This is not mental trickery or word play, it is merely one mans opinion as stated to you plainly in all sincerety. I wish you peace in your life, but remember that no matter what any of us believe, we all wake up in the morning, live our life and go to sleep at night. We all are more similar than you may think or believe. Above all, we all want whats best for ourselves and our families.
