Do you expect the man in the marriage to be strong.
by free2beme inmy mother-in-law had surgery recently and when ever she does go through medical issues, it brings up something i wonder about.
you see, i think the man or husband, in the relationship needs to be strong at those moments.
to be the person who people can look to for updated information, perhaps to be the pillar of strength to keep everyone calm in a rough situation and so on.

A man is a human being too, and subject to being vulnerable. I agree with Gayle & exNJjw that partners may have to take turns being the strong one. With that said, I want someone who is emotionally strong and resilient, because I am.

Guys: How do you show your interest?
by serendipity inguys, when you are trying to woo a woman, in the early days before you get physically intimate, how do you show your interest in her?

Never underestimate the impact of asking a woman questions about herself.
Many years ago I worked with a short, slightly built guy, 40ish but looked 50. He was kind of soft-spoken and a little effeminate. Not my type at all. We were walking back from a meeting in another wing of the building. A display of mobiles had just been hung in the main entrance. We stopped to look at them and then he asked the magical question:
"Serendipity, which one is your favorite?"
I don't recall ANY man EVER asking me that question. (Men don't tend to use a woman's name much either and he used mine frequently.) I looked at him differently from that day forward, sought him out to get to know him better and ended up with a crush. We never took it any further because we worked together, and I later found out he was a confirmed bachelor. -

Filmmaker Looking for JW Pedophile Victim CAN ANYONE HELP?
by Seeker4 ina very reputable documentary film producer would like to talk to a woman between 19-25 years old who is taking legal action in order to vindicate child sex crimes perpetrated against her and covered up by the wt society or their elders.
specifically, the "cover up," as in not reporting the crime to secular authority, should have occurred after 2002 in canada or us.
if you can help out or have information, please pm me.

How to be seduced
by serendipity inhave you ever wondered what would happen if you took a psychometric test and it told you all your secret desires?
the way in which someone could ensnare you on the first date among other things?
if you dare to proceed, it will generate a complete step by step guide on how someone would seduce you from the first date all the way to your bed and you wouldn't be able to resist.

My brother's future inlaws refused to attend his and their daughter's wedding if I was going to be there since I was df'd. I was not told this until I had traveled 250 miles to the wedding. I attended but just stayed out of sight.

How Many of us Have Shared Our Stories on JWD ? Helps us Know you Better
by flipper injust thought of starting this thread because of the problem of living in an emotionally disconnected society as we do.
some of us have shared our personal stories with you all, my wife and mine was , " the story of mr. & mrs. flipper ".
i think it would be good to share some insight into ourselves , then perhaps others on the board will be understanding more deeply about posts that we start.

My story is at this link: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/103000/1779428/post.ashx#1779428 (The link is also in my profile.) I no longer identify myself as a JW and I've faded. I will have to attend the Memorial every year to keep family members from shunning me, but it's a small price to pay.
