help and advice needed plz
by confused-n-abused inhello,im 14 years old and i am a jehovahs witness.i have done research after things happened that didnt make sense to me.my sister has been disfellowshiped and is now out of the organization married wth 2 sons.my brother stopped going to the meetings and is engaged to be married to a non wittness in march of 05.my other brother has been reading apostate material and now doesnt believe this is the right religion and is very confused as am i.my mother is a avid witness was baptized in 1975 and pioneered for a while in the 80's.i love my mom very much, but i know this isnt the right religion and i want out.im not baptized but i was born in the truth so im on the ministry school and everything and im an unbaptized publisher.when my mom finnally finds out im leaving the truth it will break her heart as she really believes this is the right religion, and shes already had 3 kids do so.how can i leave without breaking her heart?i would stick it out for the next 3or4 years, just for her,but i really dont want to.plz help me figure things out.

yes I was 16 when I left, I threatened to leave a few times and got in huge fights with my parents( but it was usually about something else, my weapon against them was threatening to leave) I would just stay in bed for the meetings and argue about why I should go somewhere I don't want to be, when I won't even be listening, eventually I just stopped going, but at this point my parents decided to "take a break" and we haven't been back since and a pack of wild horses couldn't get any of us back.

Check this out! Even BETTER than satellite pics of your house!
by Elsewhere inhttp://local.live.com/
i can literally zoom in and look the contents of my apartment patio.
rotate the images and see your house from different angles by clicking on the compass.. you have three viewing options: road, aerial and bird's eye.

For me it would've depended on my parents, since I'm only 18 now I just basically followed them religion-wise, but I'm pretty sure if mom had access to the info she has now I can safely say yes we would have been out sooner

A memory from being a JW
by KW13 ini remember when mum first started going (for the second time).
she was disfellowshipped, thus no one would talk to her or me if i was with her.
i kinda felt cut off too.

there was a little girl in my hall who was about 5 years old, and she was commenting, just a few words that her mom whispered to her, at the end the speaker said thank you ummm ...(he couldn't remember her name) so her still having the microphone said "My name is Megan and I Am Canadian" people started to snicker because thats the line on the beer commercial her mom quickly grabbed the mic from her haha.
Another time the same little girl was sitting behind a little french elder who was bald, and said loudly to her mom" does he wash his head with a face cloth its so shiny?" he heard her lol!
another one was when the sunday meeting was canceled halfway because of a snow storm and as this was being announced a boy that was probably 11 years old said very loudly YESSSS!! everyone laughed because he was this little suck up, elder in the making, I copy everyones comment right after they say it, brat. ahhh the voice of truth

divorce
by deda inif a spouse has been unfaithful and a legal divorce has been finalized is the marriage over in the church's eyes?
i've been told by the elders that i must witness the adultry or provide two witnesses that can speak to the adultry.
my ex-spouse will never confess to his past or current sexual acts.

if you are legally divorced does it matter? you're not married anymore so you can date whomever you chose...they say you need witnesses to do it, but they know that no one is stupid enough to cheat in front of people, it is their way of making their religion seem good to outsiders...not as many divorces etc...do what you want it's your life not theirs
