Cedars leaked letter requested to be taken down by WTBTS
by umbertoecho ini don't know if this is already posted so sorry people if it is.
cedars site has had a request to take down the leaked letter regarding changes to the theocratic ministry school and other issues.. the reason given by wt is that it is a "copyright" issue.
of course this validates the letters authenticity even more.. have a good day or night people.

The Elders of the congregations make for the worst possible "shepards".
by Dunedain inthe main goal of a shepard, is to keep the flock as safe as possible.
the loss of just a single sheep, could be devastating to a flock, and a shepards financial well being.
every sheep is valuable, from a monetary stanpoint, and future strength of the flock.

It's just fluff the watchtower spew out. The real reason elders are there is to safeguard the org from any litigation, Unpaid, unqualified lawyers if you will. I had a "shepherding visit" one time and this elder told me that not only do they look after the welfare of the congregation, also they have to protect against lawsuits. At the time, I shrugged that comment off thinking that cannot happen often, not in gods clean organisation! Now, that is a comment that actually sticks with me because it does reflect the role they have in the congregation.
There are some who become elders blindly thinking he wants to help the flock, more often than not this type of person usually steps down due to disillusionment.Then there is the power crazy person who relishes lording it over the flock. These are the ones that never step down and more than likely the kind of elder you are describing.

They started dumbing down the bible reading a couple of years back. The watchtower cannot have the rank and file read straight from the bible. After all, it would only take six months or so to go into complete darkness again. Only jeeeeehovahorg can really teach what the bible means! I jest... -

if that is the case, then why is the account of moses and the 10 commandments or jesus in the wilderness talking to satan taken as fact?
moses and jesus were both by themselves in the wilderness.

The two witness rule is purely a control tactic used by the org to deture from litigation. There are many cases I've personally observed where one persons hearsay can land another in trouble without two Witnesses. The pioneers were very good at tittle tattle, all they had to do is go to an elder and before you know it your in the back room!
Of course, the rank and file who try to keep their heads down but have no "privileges" were usually the favourite target!

It wouldn't surprise me if eventually Kingdom Halls were sold and people were told to meet in private homes in preparation for the Great Tribulation.I really think you may have a point here Londo. We only have to look at a few of the latest publications and their photographs of JW's conducting the study in basements. If one wants to truly sell a story or a product, using imagery is the most powerful tool in ones armory. -

All these changes in the last five years are mindblowing
by truthseeker ini can't begin to count all the changes that have happened in the last five years.. i just read they're getting rid of the theocratic ministry school from cedar's blog.. i remember when they released the new theo school book back in 2001. how times have changed.. it's almost scary in a way what's happening.
there's barely any time to adapt to one change before another change comes along.. there's been more changes in the last five years than the previous 100 years.. i feel like there's some grand puppet master pulling his string.. what if the governing body are not really in charge but just give the impression they're in charge.
could there be someone else behind the scenes?.
