Are the J.W's reaching a "Tipping point"?

i haven't been to a meeting in 15 years but my mother and sister are hard as j.w's.

the brothers they are appointing elders are at best suspect like one guy from my old hall made elder,big time drug used before becoming a j.w his talks are all over the place and would have struggled to make m,s years ago but with at least 60 to 70 % of young ones leaving the pool to pick from is at best reduced.. 2 other recent elders both young and zero life experience both on benefits one not well at all falls asleep all the time.. the decent,kind elders mostly older and are decent people with alot of life experience are burning out fast as there are so few of them left like 3 per congro of 100 publishers.. then you have the rich elders who wouldn't ever think of inviting some poor older or mis-fit person out to the expensive placers they go to as they couldn't afford to go so they are above the r&f and the r&f get pissed off with them.

then we have the ones who have "put the kingdom 1st" who are now old worn out and barely getting by from welfare cheque to welfare cheque that are saying "the system should have been over many years ago" it's still here and they are struggling everyday.. then there are the pioneers who have a low payed reduced hour job that seem to think anyone who has anything is totally materialistic and looks down on anyone getting a new car buying a house ect.. along with the child abuse issues,the generation change,access to information the the g.b don't want anyone to know ,not to mention the issues around blood.. is there a tipping point coming????

I think you have pretty much hit the nail on the head. The good elders no longer want to be elders due to the politics of the watchtower, leaving this wide open for the many narcissistic sociopaths becoming elders.

Pioneers can also be a funny lot too, some think they are a cut above the rest and make it known by mistreating others but get away with it. Again, as above, the narcissist has a field day.

You pretty much described the KH I was in. There are people in KH that would actually drive you out due to their vindictive behavior! Because the number of people who have privileges within a KH is dropping at an alarming rate, the org is desperate to plug the hole. It's got to the point where they don't care who is appointed, just as long as they follow the watchtower line, anything else is secondary. That includes the mistreatment of so many good people still trapped in this cult!

i found this article, about a woman who had foster kids and she tortured and abused them, the article says she was a jw.

Problem is with an opener like that, one may as well give up because even if the householder has never heard of Jehovah's witnesses, you can be damn sure as soon as the JW's have gone, curiosity will have the householder hot footing it to the nearest internet enabled device.

Remember when you and indeed all of us were still heavily indoctrinated? Remember what we all were like when we heard of a special talk being given? We were always thinking, is this it? Now put yourself in your mother-in-laws shoes.

The difference being, your awake and your mother-in-law is still under the mind control, every announcment of a special talk is usually followed by active JW's thinking and saying this is THE talk. Probably more details in the "new light"

i was supposed to attend the meeting today, one of my once a month duties for the sake of my family and my fade.

i read the wt and i just can't stomach going.... what this wt does is again and again reiterate that only jws will survive the coming destruction and that they should be happy about this and raise ourselves erect...eg:.

we cannot expect that many people will suddenly convert to true christianity.

Photosynthesis and the problem with the creation story

i just noticed in the bible that on day three, god created the plants and trees on the earth.... day four, god created the sun, moon and stars!

so that means that the vegetation that is by its very nature dependant upon light to grow and photosynthesise was created a day before the sun that it needs to live!???.

this gets even more strange when you factor in the jw exhuse that a day to god is like a thousand years.

Today's Special Day Assembly Expenses and the $10,499 Deficit. Silent Majority?

today i attended a one-day assembly in my hometown.

i knew when it came time to read the afternoon expenses that it would be an incredibly high and ridiculous amount that was nowhere near the real expenses for that day.

sure enough, after lunch came the announcement.

My personal view is it's not only the JW's who are waking up, it's also the rest of the western world. We on a whole are not satisfied to take something as is and believe it anymore, the information age can really be a powerful tool provided it is legit. Most of us either have a smart phone, Tablet, Laptop, PC, etc and we can access anything in seconds.

The watchtowers major foe is the world wide web, in their words it belongs to Satan, although they are now promoting jw.borg on the very medium that is supposedly run by Satan! What did they do when first launching their site? pray over it in the hope Satan didn't attack it with porn! Well that didn't work because it's full of fear porn!
