I read Helter Skelter when I was about 11 years old. At the time, I had never read anything more frightening! I had gotten one of my older sister's books... I don't remember all the details about who did what; but I still have memories of some of the more grisly stuff!

Does Sharon Tate have any surviving family members? I think they should ask them how they feel about it.

Is it wrong to burn people to death?
by DoomVoyager ini'm an avid reader of steve wells' blog on religion and atheism.
this article discusses the hebrew god (we all know him as joe hoobie) and his propensity for burning people to death.

It is wrong to initiate the use of force, threat of force, or fraud against another or their property. And that includes burning (or threatening to do the same) someone at the stake for the sake of enforcing knowledge.
Additionally, stoning someone to death to enforce knowledge laws is just as bad.
Just think about burning someone in hellfire forever and ever! Just for telling a lie or something!

As a person that got scalded with hot rice when I was a child, I'd say, yes, it's wrong! I just remember Mom falling over me while I was sitting on the kitchen floor. I passed out after that. It just took the first layer of skin off my entire arm and part of my shoulder. You would not be able to tell that I was ever scalded.
It was very painful!

Let's Hear it For Simon -Thanks For This Board - And All it Accomplishes
by flipper ini think it's only appropriate to put out a thread to thank simon for the great job he does in moderating this board, watching over discussions to make sure that the purpose of jwd discussion stays focused .
i believe that he and the mods do a great job in helping this board along in it's journey - and enables us to have the freedom of speech- without having fear of reprisal - as long as the guidelines are met.
so, i for one would like to personally thank you simon - for bringing this board into existence, as it has helped many to be able to vent after leaving the jehovah's witnesses cult, and get support, and for others it has helped them have a great place to discuss many important topics that have a heavy play in many of our lives !

how to make the perfect sandwich
by wings infirst you have to have an appreciation for the fact that it is an art form.. like an appreciation of music....endless possibilities...... then you have to start with good fresh bread, if you don't have that, you won't hit perfect.
hot or cold?
doesn't really matter...perfection can be found either way.

I wonder why no one said Lox and Bagels! I tried it once and that was enough! Nasty! That smoked fish was too raw for me!

I love tomatoes slices on my sandwich and I LOVE mayo on everything! Can't have tomatoes since the salmonella scare. You have to have a garden or get them from a friend's garden.
I love the breads that aren't to seedy. I don't want to crunch on a seed! I hate pickles, onions, and mustard on my sandwich. The only sour sandwich that I love is a Reuben! And I love grilled cheese sandwiches! Oh! And avocado sandwiches and fried green tomato sandwiches....and eggplant parmesan sandwich...
