  Strike 3 for the elderette and me! (???) I never heard a JW talk SO much about Jesus!

  miss k and her friend miss w arrived promptly today.

  our scheduled topic of discussion: jesus' claim to be "the way, the truth and the life..." john 14:6 since she was basing this topic choice on the fact that i had quoted that verse, i'm not sure why... she spent what seemed like a very long time, hopping through scriptures that all said that jesus was the truth, the way, or the life.

  ok, so we agreed... i kept waiting for her to get to a point, or sway from this principle.. of course, she summed up with scriptures that show how jesus submits to the father, and what does that mean we should do?

  The whole time, she kept repeating how we get to the FATHER through JESUS... no one can get to JEHOVAH without JESUS.

  Excellent.

  Your follow up can be...how do get to the father?

  The messed up JW doctrine of Jesus's mediatorship would an interesting follow up.

  My guess is that post 2017 (once Walkill is finished) they will simply drop it. Just no longer mention it. If they have no doctrine to replace it with then just dropping it will be the easiest option.

  Maybe saying, let's wait and see. Like they did with the King of the North. Indefinetly park it.

  Don't see a big problem with that purchase.

  The problem is simple. They just don't need it.

  They have extensive office space in Mill Hill. More than enough for a translation commitee. If, for some reason, they needed to rent office space for the duration of the project in Wales then that would have much less of a cost attached to it than buying a luxury house.

  To keep reminding the JW's to donate, donate, donate whilst purchasing a property like this is simply insensitive. Why oh why are such groups given tax free status when they can buy like this is unbelievable.

  As pointed out above, Christ spoke of having nothing. This purchase again highlights how laughable their claims of being true Christians are.

  Powers handed over from the President in 1976.

  It's interesting to think how this arrangement undermines last years claim, that the FDS (aka the GB) has been in existence since 1919...

  How does revelation refer to an earthly courtyard of a spiritual temple? This article seems to be stretching.

  Good point GoUnion.

  But this is a key problem with the Great Crowd doctine. Naos (the temple sanctuary) which Rev 7 says the Great Crowd are 'in' had NO courtyards inside it. All the temple courtyards came under a different greek word - heiron.

  The Great Crowd of Rev 7 are therefore most certainly in heaven, so like a house of cards everything in this WT collapses around this problem.

  With the recent departure of Guy Pierce, it's interesting to look at the various speakers and wonder if his replacement is on show there.
