It means, make it your own, by manipulating it to convey your thoughts and back up your beliefs... Or something like that.

Why don't witnesses celebrate their Baptismal Anniversary?
by JH in.
they celebrate their wedding anniversaries, so since baptism is even more important than marriage,"says the watchtower", why don't they celebrate it?

Not really sure, but I guess they see it as another year they've been dedicated to god, but nothing's happened (i.e. the new system still ain't here...)

Results of "The Test" How angry do you get on the road?
Your score = 40
What does your score mean?According to the results of this test, you have a moderate case of road rage. Though you don't always lose your cool, there are certain circumstances that overheat your circuitry and make you fume. Perhaps you get overly impatient while waiting at a red light, or have a low level of tolerance for super-slow drivers. Whatever the case, you're probably making mountains out of molehills. If you're going to drive, you have to accept the fact that it won't always be "smooth sailing". In preservation of your own mental and physical health, and for the sake of everyone else on the road, try to put these highway frustrations into perspective. They are just not worth the headache.
Lord knows how I got such a low score. I'm usually filled with anger when I drive.

Karma, Irony, Speeding Ticket
by RichieRich inyesterday morning i was enjoying coffee with a few teachers when we started talking about the north carolina laws that say that if you get a ticket while you're under 18, your license might be revoked.
i was joking with them that in my business sedan (ford taurus), i can speed and no one seems to care.
i spoke way too soon.. yesterday evening, i was leaving for work at about 5:20. i saw that i was coming up on a cop, so i did that thing where you hit the brakes, but try not to make it obvious that you just slowed down.

Don't Speed.
Lol. J/k, that's rich coming from me. I'm lucky to only have had one ticket, but I swear that damn camera was wrong, I was well un ere the limit on that road. As for getting out of the ticket, I have no tips, but over here it's next to impossible to get out of it...

I look like my Dad and I've got a temper like him. But apparently I've got the brains of my Mum, but I often misjudge things like my Dad.
I don't see myself as a quitter like my Dad though, and I don't see myself as being quite so gullible or naive as my Mum. I'd like to think I'm more like my Mum, even though I know that's not true.

Divided Household
by pratt1 ini grew up in a "divided household" and i was wondering how many of you had similar experiences to mine.. 1. i was always viewed as fatherless child as a kid.
i wasn't, i had a very involved father, however he was an unbeliever.. 2. i always felt the my decisions in life ultimately meant that i was chosing one parent over the other.
going to college i chose dad over mom.

I grew up in a divided household for a little while, and I do remember being treated as a fatherless boy. My old man bailed about 10 years ago, so since then I have been fatherless. But I didn't feel that being from a divided home, or a single parent family hurt my upbringing to any great extent. Sure, I was different to the other witness kids, they had perfect families (or so it seemed), but I fitted right in with the kids at school, 7 out of 10 kids in my were from single parent families. And as for missing out on having a father figure, well, I don't think I've turned out so bad, I think I'd have turned out alot worse if my dad had stuck around.
