  the february 15 watchtower article "walking in the path of increasing light" reviews what they consider evidence that they are directed by holy spirit.

  sometimes it's what isn't said that speaks the loudest.

  the article tries to highlight what they consider significant events.

  I read a lot(most) of topics on this site and rarely comment. When I do its usually just to make some goofy comment. I always appreciate everybodies effort though.

  Circumcision....How is it justified?

  it seems for most religions leave this question up to the parents.

  but how do people justify it?

  Since it was always such a big deal to the Jews to be circumcised, I always wondered what they were always doing looking at other guys wangs of neighboring areas. It seemed it was always the first thing to happen, "OK guys, lift up the robe, lets see it."

  How many here were homeschooled?

  i'm quite new here, so i apologize if this topic has been covered.. the reason i ask this,, i was raised in the midwest.

  a majority(more than 50%) of the children at the local congregation were homeschooled.. the end result was that these homeschooled kids had social problems, found it difficult making and keeping friends and were completely out of touch with the world.. as these kids became adults, rarely did they stay on as witnesses and usually went to the other extreme,, you know the old saying,, sex drugs and rock n' roll..

  That sounds like me, except for the sex and drugs part. My folks took me out for my 9th grade year, all the usual excuses: bad association, teachers don't know anything....etc. When I went back for 10th grade it was almost like I had never been in school before.

  To DA or not to DA that is the question

  hi guys, as most of you know i have been inactive for a bit ( august of 2004 was the last time i turned in time) i changed congregations in december and have pretty much faded.

  last night i had a talk with someone and he asked me why i was still in, why not just da?.

  my answer ?.

  I faded thinking that I might go back. Now I never would. I don't feel any obligation to now tell them anything whatsoever. If they wanted to meet with me for a JC I might for my own entertainment and would even tell them that. I guess my advice to you is that you don't owe them anything.

  in which a gung-ho jw apologist tells us that an adult plant has different dna from that of the seed it grew from.. .

  because grown-up plants don't look like big seeds, and the watchtower once quoted from an article in the world book encyclopedia mentioning "chemical changes" in a germinating seed!.
