for all of you who made a conscious decision to leave the organization.. what was the price you had to pay or what was you willing to give up in order to be true to yourself.
( wife, children, extended family, friends, jobs...etc).
and how have you coped?
My family, all my life-long (so-called) friends, my home (I was kicked out) and so much more.
I wasn't DF'd or anything, just never believed in it (although I was raised & baptized at 13) so when I was 17 I started breaking ties with the JW's.

I remember hearing from the platform that once the Catholic Church was attacked by the gov't it would be too late for anyone to repent. So which ever side of the fence you were on would be permanent at that point.

its amazing what a hold this religion can have on people.
an old friend who used to post here under the handle collegegirl has apparently gone back to the darkside....i'd been seeing evidence of this here and there, so as a test i sent her some very apostate emails (scans of watchtower letters, interesting posts) and today i received the reply "i chose not to read them because i don't want to be bitter".....unbelievable.
is it really easier to be brainless than to stand up for your rights as a human being????
