Unanswered, my nephew was not allowed to give a talk because his hair was too short. I didnt get it, I mean whats the big deal if its too short what was their reason?

by LDH inbelow you will find the affirmations of humanism for children.. secular humanists believe there is no god; which in a round-about way makes you responible for your own actions.. their website is at http://www.secularhumanism.org.
while i don't agree with all of their teachings, the manifesto is an excellent parenting tool.
(i think you'll see how different it is from jw upbringing) i think you'll find that you could raise a very balanced and emotionally stable child following these guidelines.

Are all elders stupid ????
by Blackcat induring a debate with a relative of mine who is an elder, i told him i had a copy of the elders manual (via the net)..the look on his face was a pictue to behold!!!
his wife could not believe that an ex-dub could possibly be in possesion of the oh so powerfull elders little book of tricks.he told me that the book was for authority and only elders have that authority to have access to the information in the book, is he on a big ego trip or is he just stupid not knowing this book is available to all on the net?
is,nt it common knowledge amongst elders?

i must say this is the most wonderful group of people i have ever seen on a db.

Assemblies...conventions...special days...
by NikL inthere is a phenomenon in dub dom that i have always hated.
the circuit/district convention.. people will spend hard earned money, use up any vacation they may have to travel to a city they don't really have any particular reason to see to sit for entire days and listen to the same b.s.
they could sit and listen to at the meetings in their home kingdom hall.

why does it seem that fornication is the only "real" sin in the jw religion?
i mean people can slander, be gluttonous, get drunk and have unethical business practices, but god forbid you should have a little sex.

Lurker, I agree but the VAST majority of overweight people do not have a thyroid problem. How many people left a consentration camp fat? I also think many gluttons are thin because they vomit after they eat. But I still think its a safe generalization that most overwieght people do overeat.

Frency, being drunk PERIOD is a sin if we use the bible to come to this conclusion, where does it say its not a sin if you are drunk onece in a while?
