How Many Refused To Meet With The Elders When Told They Wanted To Talk?

I told my xwrife that I had fornicated so she'd be free to remarry. An elder called me and I told him there was no way I'd talk to elders. They sent me a certified letter, which had been forwarded from my old addres sent I had recently moved. I removed the forwarding sticker so they wouldn't know my new address and put the certified letter, unopened, in another envelop and sent it back.
They then had the audacity to come to my place of work. I told them I didn't want to talk to them. One elder said, "This'll be quick. Based on the information we have we'll going to disfellowship you." I said it didn't make any difference to me. He said that I had seven days to appeal and they left. That was that.
I wish I had told them to please wait and minute and gone to the manger and told him two JW's were harassing me. Didn't think of it til later.

Any students in here?

i am currently a senior and will graduate in 3 semesters with a degree in information systems.
i am a little older than most of my classmates since i didnt go to college directly after highschool, this decsion was based on the fine spirtual food provided by wtbts.

Well, I think I'm the oldest student here(53). I graduated in December 2002 with a BA in Spanish. I'm currently studying applied linguistics in grad school. I plan to go to Mexico in August and do a two year masters program there in applied linguistics. Who knows? I may even do a PhD.
I graduated from high school in 1968 so the big reason not to going to college was 1975. I'll never forgive the jdubs for robbing me of an education, even though I'm doing it in my old age.

The" Letter" returns

i went in my room took off my work clothes and came out and told her i have a problem with this.

Kingdom Hall Alarm codes.

beats yorkshire anyday.... anyway thought i would share this little account with you.. as most are of you are aware, the alarm code for about 90% of kingdom halls is 1914 (nineteen fourteen).. i t seems though that for the last 8 or 9 quick builds or refurbs in the uk, the brother who installed the numbers into the alarm control panel used the numbers 1975 and explained the number as one nine seven five not the the easier version (ninteen seventy five).. trivial joke or honest mistake, either way this poor brother has been rumbled and has to to meet with 2 elders investigating on behalf of a body of elders to see whether an apostasy charge will be brought.. he is supposed to be meeting with them over the next few days.. .
a very sad jem, who is sick of the whole elder abuse game.

That's funny! The hall where I was a ms for nines had 1975 as their code. When they sold that hall and built a new one the code was 1875. I guess just to make it easy to remember. Just one digit different than the old code.

Right on! Even if there is a god there's no way to know what he/she/it is like or what he/she/it wants of us if anything. Therefore, the god(s) that people worship are all imaginary friends. If a child has an imaginary friend there's no way you can convince him that the friend is not real. The same stands true for an adult with an imaginary friend.
