  please help me find a post.. the other day a poster related an experience about how she was told that she was not allowed to sit with another person who was also disfellowshiped.

  i have been trying to find that post so i can show it to my wife.

  can someone help me find it?

  Apparently, we are so evil that we deserve NO human companionship. For if we are truly repentant, we won't speak with other DFs or worldly persons; and of course, we can't speak with other Witnesses. Where does that leave us? And if your family members are JWs, you are really screwed.

  IMHO that is a terrible thing to try to do to an honest hearted person who has sinned, is sorry, and wants to make things right with Jehovah. I know that the JWs will say, "Well, you should have thought of that"....etc. ad nauseam...."and this way, you're left only with Jehovah so you can re-build the relationship you destroyed when you sinned".

  Yes, It was your post I was referring to. Thank you for sharing that with us. My wife and I were talking about the terrible way people are treated in the organization. We really had no idea about a lot of the things that go on. You put it very well, they don't want a person who is DF to have ANY human companionship.

  It is truly astonishing to hear about the way people are treated in this organization.

  Can you share with us what it was that enabled you to see the organization for what it is? I am sure your story would benefit many.

  I am sure you will do well with the elders. Based on what I know about you from reading your posts you are a really cool guy. I agree with jgnat that you will make them squirm.

  I do agree with JT and the rest that you should tread lightly in view of the fact that your wife is still heavily into this.

  Hey, this is better than a soap opera. I can't wait for the next episode. I hope you will share it with us.

  Fear Factor used to control JW children.it is nothing short of child abuse

  i was thinking of this the other day,,,,,,, feeling guilty of putting my kids thru this, even thou it was not my intention at all,,,,,,,all the meetings, all the service , ,, fear was the motivating factor in doing all of the things jw's do every week.. five meetings a week jw children are subjected to hearing in graphic detail of how the birds will eat the eyeballs out of those who die in armeggedon.

  then they are told they better keep on the cramped and narrow path or they will end up the same.

  then they hear all the things god did in the past for those who didnt do what he said,,,,,,,terrified they will be his next victims.

  I also was raised as a Catholic. I remember only too well that I was told that I would burn in hell for eating meat on Friday when I was just a young kid..

  I had my baby and I am IN LOVE!!!

  i've been off for two weeks and come back and everything is different.. i just wanted to check in and let everyone know my c-section went well and i had a beautiful, healthy baby boy.. anthony tristan was born on january 31st at 4:18 pm.

  he weighed 6 lbs.

  1 oz.. he had some breathing problems and was in nicu for five days.

  Dissing the JWs....

  i've been inactive for a few years now, and yet, despite all i read, i can't feel as you mostly all do.

  i have a lot of happy memories of being "in the truth" (and i know how much some here hate that line) and fond memories of the meetings and assemblies, sure it was much easier to break away and live life like i am now,..... but well, thats just how i feel.

  i can understand those that may leave for personal reasons, but not sure i'll ever understand some here who have such a hatred of anything jw related.
