either way, they are in a massive jam.
They screwed something else...thank goodness for JWD!!!

"Question 2. Was the aids virus on board, or did God create it later to smite some that really pissed Him off?"
An EXCELLENT question.

they were in the ark for such a long time, must have been pretty messy not to mention unhealthy, must have been a high mortality rate, causeing wide spead disease, and death due to the very unsanitary condition in that ark?
imagine being locked up in that mess for a moment..
Wow, this is another one of tjose topics where I found myself wondering why that didn't occur to me when I was a JW? We were conditioned to explain away everything with "miracles." So much so that we, or at least I, missed so many things that common sense should have told me.

now don't get all excited, .
this is a research project, not in the actual act itself, but the origin of the term... from whom did the expression "missionary position" surface.
i swear to god that i believed that a missionary first used that expression.
Wow, I always thought that it was because the missionaries were always f***ing the people.... :)

my wife and i actually started to fade a little in 1997, but 1998 in january was our last attended meeting.
i gave a talk at the service meeting and looked out at all these people i knew were phony, listened to what i was saying and knew it was all lies and realized i never got over the change in the generations change in 1995 and had gone downhill from there.
i got off the stage, and the meeting ended and i got the typical pat on the backs for a good talk they never listened too anyway.
Amen brother, that will be me in ten years.

i often times wonder what happened to certain bethelites that i ran around with during my 1990s tenure there.
while there are still a few left there, the greater majority of them aren't there for various reasons (marriage, disillusionment, left the borg, etc).
a couple of cats i wonder about - there was one brother who i believe was from kansas, who got his fingers cut off in a printing press.
OK, being in NYC Queens I know of a lot of these folks. Here are some updates:
Fred Curry did leave for Washington to care for his Mom. He was the PO at Jackson Heights English for many years. I'd say he left around four-five years ago.
Schilling was put out in the field. He had no skill that Bethel could use. Sad.
Tom Jefferson was sent to the islands, I believe Bahamas, to serve on the Branch Committee.
Al Harrell was there as of this year.
The Nazaroff nephew is John. He was at Patterson as of about three years ago. He married a sister from my congo, Irma Garcia originally from New Mexico.
Franz Ferrante was in Whitestone Congregation as of a year ago.
Richard Devine is currently a WT spokeperson. He gets interviewed everytime WT sells a bldg.
Scott Churchill went to the Portugues and I believe got married and left Bethel.
Robert Bay was still around as of a year ago.
Warren and Wynne Pake...I left them for last. What a story. Wynne began to suffer from extreme burnout(I can pm close friends if more info is really needed). They ended up leaving Bethel in '91. The last that I spoke with Warren was about four years ago. He was living in Tucson AR. He and Wynne were separated, he remained an elder. That was a few years ago.

i know ,at first glance it seems like an impossibility .
i really haven't lost my mind here folks.
hear me out on this one.
I agree too on the living well. Now if I can just be around them more they can see just how well. Forty five pounds lost (and counting), happy, new GF, healthy non publishing daughter....

from time to time, i wonder about maximus, an ex-do who used to post during my early days of lurking here.
i heard he was sick (deathly sick, even) and wonder how he is doing?
i hope he is doing well.
His posts helped me greatly.

in this book, the miriclle of the scarlet thread, richard booker outlines the steps ancient hebrews typically followed in making a covenant: ......they exchanged robes.......they exchanged belts.....cut the convenant.......raised the right hand..........mingled their blood.......exchanged names.....made a scar.....stated the convenant terms.........ate the memorial meal......and planted a tree.
the covenant partners raised their right arms, cut their palms and intermingled their blood, while swearing allegiance to each other.
blood represents life; the intermingling represent two lives becoming one.
To the best of my knowledge the WT has not dealt with this. I had never heard of it until now.

Thanks, I need for custody purposes. I can plan something for my kid that weekend.
