Australian brothers VERY negative comments regarding new "generations" ... some leaving Bethel..will this blow up in the Watchtowers face?

a brother i spoke with from bethel to me seemed discouraged and lacking zeal latley...he spoke of leaving which shocked me since he was there for decades...he left to get a full time job!!!

it was his whole reason for living since i've known him!

others have said the new doctrine of "blended generations" of anionted seeing armagedon is "confusing" or "i just don't get it"...one brother my only close friend is furious and said i qoute..."they seem to be blowing smoke up our ass!

and according too the wt. teaching, a large number of 144000 was replace when Russell begain

this religion, in other words there was no group of people on earth to speak for God for over 2000 yrs.

A time when there was no one that had the hope too fly around in heaven.

Maybe Iam reaching here but the logic is, if the jw,s justify that God chose Russell

to speak for him when the Bible clearly show all the prophets where pick by other prophets within

their generation, not 2000yrs later.. That means the generations thing could go on for ever...

The old big orange "Paradise" book

anyone remember that?

i learned to read on that book.there were some very disturbing images,like the earth opening up and people falling into it.like upside down ladies and hippies.id love to get a hold of one and peruse it with a friend and some herbal medicine.maybe there is one in the attic?anyway,that and the image of the snake talking to the beautiful,bare shouldered eve,who was holding an apple,made a big impression on me.any else have any faves from that book?is it still being used?.

A thought, draft a letter for the purpose of exposing the lunacy of the JW teaching..Give a copy to every church,

temple, and synagouge in your city..In the letter ( addres to the minister or whoever is in charge). The letter may

state for example . according to the teaching of the JW, every time your enter your place of worship you are worshipping

the Devil..Are you aware they have falsely predicted the world end six times since they became A organization over a

100yrs. ago.Are you aware if they left the JW org. and join yours they would be shunn by their family members for all time.

And are you aware in order to gain salvation they must submit whole soul and mine not too Jesus but to the governing

body of earthly men..If you what to learn more in the comfort of your home, please log on to JW.net. I am sorry for

going off the deep in, but these people still have my kids. I hate that org.

maybe this discussion has already taken place on this forum, or maybe some of you may scoff at this observation as just stating the obvious, but i think it may be worth while to post this for those of you who have yet to discover this paralell.

i was involved in a mlm business in the insurance industry from 1993 - 2000. this life insurance agency was started in 1977 by just a few individuals and had grown by recruiting average working class people to become part-time sales agents and sold them the american dream.

in just a few years time, this agency entered every state and grew into a sales force of roughly 200,000 people, part time and full timers, and by 1984 had become the #1 seller of life insurance in the country for approximately 15 years straight.

Afew years back after I was no longer A JW, I got involve with A JW and his marriage problems, he wanted to

leave his wife for A younger woman. I thought what a strange situation since I was no longer A JW.To make A long

story short. Over the years I have been involve in several MLM business, from Amway thru Legal .com..

He was involve in some crazy MLM business so he convince me to go to one of the meeting.To my surprise, over

70% of those in attendance where JW,s some Elders..Strange there was no problem greeting me and shaking my hand.

That same group of Brothers have been involve in several get quick scams.

Iam sure that Belize will close their Branch since they are neighbors of Mexico. When I serve in Belize in

the mid 70,s ,the branch overseerer and I became close friends, (K. Woods and his wife). Soon after we return

to the states K. Woods and his wife also return to start A family in Calif. my old cong. It,s good he made the move,

because of his age now late 60,s or early 70,s. When he return he work with my brother in law and others and became a electrician.

So it was A good move .

Would any of you DESTROY ones faith and life as a JW if they were your dying grandparents?

this is a serious question, trying to decide the right thing to do.........i do believe in god, i am sorting out what i believe and true from lie and such.

have question on how atheist and just ones belief in god would respond to this.. .

if you have a grandparent, (or even some relative) who spent their entire life as a jw.

I am waiting for the day my brother-law A JW Elder when I can destroy his faith, on his death bed, Why you might ask.

My mother, her Father A Baptist minister, all her life active in the church, at 85 she was still active, this was

her life and her kids..A week before she pass, my sister and my Brother-law made the decision to tell my mom

that she have been worshipping the devil all her life, and before she pass she can still come into JW org..

This frighten my mom so badly she call my older Brother he call my other brother and sister. They all went

over and told my sister and my Brother-law to leave, do not come back, yes even our sister because she should have had

enough sense to stop it.My mom died the next week 89yrs.

A street person (a drunkard) approach me and another Bro. while we were engaged in the street work,

in front of A donut shop. He ask , the money you fools receive from these mags. and books and then

send it back to NY, do you have any idea what it is use for? We said yes, the world wide preaching work.

After A few curse words he said you fools have no clue , those fat cats in NY are living a life of comfort, why

The comedian G. Carlin stated, he would never join any religious where you must wear a hat for men and

head cover for women or you can not wear any head gear. Some body got it wrong, The Pope, Muslim and

Judaism must wear a head gear then we have the other Christian group say it is inappropriate for men to

wear hats. Do you really think God care if you wear a pointed hat or paper tissue on your head.

I have pondered how dangerous are JW,s since I have family members still in. Since I left in 1987 I became A

Freemasons for 10yrs. It felt like A cult but not A dangerous one, and my wife was in A group in the 70,s, A

group that were at odds with the Black Panthers. Her group started the holiday (Kwanza).When I stop being

A active member of the Masons making the transition no problem, but for my wife it was difficult for her to

come out of the group she was in, her life was not any danger for leaving the group, but her mind set. It

was years before she assimilated back in society..Here we have two groups, one extreme , she told me

they look down on the people that was not part of their group..The point I am making, any group you

can not walk away from is A dangerous cult , if it causes harm to your body or your mine it,s dangerous..

when you look back over the 130 year history of wt, what is the most bizzare/ridiculous/hilarious/absurd teaching or quotes that you have found?.

one of the ones i find hilarious is during the beth-sarim affair, rutherford announced that the world was laughing and mocking them because they don't believe the resurrection is going to come to pass when they said it was.

rutherford went on to say in effect "we will show them when people start coming back from the graves"... lol.
