How many Witness families do you know that still shun their children?

my congregation had many teens that were disfellowshipped.

none of them have been back to the meetings.

they either got married or moved out of their parents home.. it saddens me that i haven't seen any of them at any family functions.

the insanity of shunning, how many people have you known went back after 15-20yers..Take a hint it is not working.

Years ago when I came in in early 70,s I knew of very few people who was shun. Today almost every family have

someone in their family who have been df... My aunt ask me a few years back,( for me I have been shun since 1987 ) so

when will the shunning stop.? Only when you go back to the borg.. She said if you went back to a insane group like that

she would shun me.. In my area very few are shun by their parent, their are too many out...Maybe because I live in L.A.

shunning is a part of the faith. Speaking as a ex elder and at one time possess the elder manual I can

tell you it is very much a part of the faith. This is a outright lie.

Did you Observe Medical Emergencies Occur While Meetings Continued On?

i've thought a lot about this over the years .

bonafide's thread reminded me of this and how unethical and insensitive it was for jehovah's witnesses meetings to go on without stopping while some rank and file members were having medical emergencies right in the kingdom hall.

my experience i will never forget.. in 1983 i was among some pioneers who were giving experiences at a circuit assembly in front of a crowd of about 2,000. this 83 year old sister was standing at the microphone and when she got done with her part - she sat next to me in her chair on the stage.

Before I could finish reading the announcement I Pass out cold, I have seen how this announcement can

ruin lives, I just could not do it. Anyway when I regain consciousness they had moved me to the library.

My wife told me I was out for 15min or so. No one call the ambulance, but the announcement was made

on the disfellowship.

after reading password's blog on freeminds, and following the thread about the 7/09 awake, i am saddened to hear the experiences of so many who have been shunned by their families.. i confess that when i first started reading at this site - 8 years ago - i couldn't believe what i was seeing.

i knew that df'd persons were to be excluded from any spiritual interaction, but i'd never personally witnessed the extreme shunning that the society encourages.. i've often mentioned that this seldom happens in black families.

of course, i have no statistical evidence to back this up, but i have yet to see a family in my area practice this kind of shunning.

If you approach a black person in my area (L .A. ca) and ask them their opinion on JW,s , the first thing

out of their mouth, They break up families. Why would anyone get involve with a organization that separate

family members, especially inveiw what we as a race has gone thru..The shunning in my area of family

members have change a lot in the pass years, it change for the good. There are too many out , by shunning

exmembers, they stand the chances of allenating thier non JW family members.This is the case in my

family.

How many TIMES can a JW be DF'd before the ELDERS dismiss them PERMANENTLY?

i know a "sister" who has been df'd 10 times for adultery within a period of 15 years..... she is married....her hubby was an elder until she got df'd for the 1st time...he was then deleted....apparently the sister was not happy in the bedroom, he was always away doing cong duties, including jcs....... she keeps getting reinstated, and usually it does'nt take long for her (not the usual 6 months).....apparently she is a very good actress (she cries like a baby in the jcs )..... how many times can she keep getting df'd and reinstated like this until the elders say it is enough?.

I knew a sister that moved to our cong. With in six months she was DF'd along with a a elder for adultery. Know

excuse for the elder, he was married she was single.We learn afterward she had been DF'd three times before coming to

our cong. for the same offense. The last time she had been DF'd, she was in her 40,s and married a 17year old...They divorce

after three months.The sad thing , this sister had or have a sexual problem that needed professional help. In her mind

it was ok too get involve with a brother and did not matter if was married or not, but to get involve with a worldly

person that would be unforgivable. The last I heard she was up to five DF'd..The sister told us brothers she can not

live without sex..

There was a brother who was a elder, was told when he was DF'd, he would not be reinststed in this system,

of course this was before 1975..He was in his 50,s and loved the young sisters that is why he was df,d..

Luke 21:8 and the latest 2008 WT Library

i was perusing the latest 2008 wt library and i ran a search for luke 21:8 (one of the worst texts you could read to a jw).

when i first ran the search, the library only popped up with one article from 11/1/64 wt and a reference to some book called the kingdom of god is nigh (published by the wt in 1944, but is not found on the cd.

i did find it on the internet, though.).

I guess Iam slow, but it never hit me until today. For the past 100yrs. or so the JW,s have been the only

religious group to preach the end of world is near. So if they are the only ones preaching this massage

and luke21.7,8 tells you not to follow them, what the hell. Who do they think that verse refer too?

human aid before it becomes a car, if you threw parts of a phone in a hat and you were able to shake

this hat for years how long will it take before it,s a useable phone, The point is, considering how impossible

it would be before parts of car and parts of a phone come togather without the assistance of man, so like wise

with the complexity of the humam body , there is a maker.

New anointed rejected by the WT-society

i listened through the lates download wt, june 15, 2009. www.jw.org there is an article: the faithful steward and its governing body.. this article makes it clear that new anointed will not be consulted in preparing spiritual food.

other sheep are also told in other words not to listen to the opinion of new anointed in the congregations.. .

my sister ate the crackers and drink the wine for 35 yrs. My brother in law, her husband was abusive, both physical and mentally.

He was a elder at the time and is still a elder today.My sister pass three years ago. In her case I can see why she had the

misguided veiw. Life was hell for her here on earth. We were very close, and I knew for a fact my sister had know more

insight of the scriptures then the next JW..In fact she knew very little..The sister that help my sister to become a JW,also

was of the anointed. Two or three of the sisters that studied with this sister later drink the wine and ate the bread.
