  the way crisis of conscience lays it out, despite their reservations on doctrine, ray franz and ed dunlap would have been more than happy to live out their lives within the jw ranks without causing any disturbance.

  ray was contemplating resigning from the gb and living out his life quietly somewhere outside bethel.

  ed preferred to remain in bethel due to his advanced age.

  Newly Exiting JW's - WT Society's Motive was to Instill Fear & Doubt in You

  i have seen this more and more the longer i've been out of the witnesses ( over 6 years ) .

  one of the main objectives of the wt society was to make us have a fear of leaving the witnesses and doubt ourselves so much due to being told we were imperfect and sinful.

  so then that produced guilt.

  not trying to change the subject, but since some talk of contribution, who holds the deeds for

  the KH? I ask this question because the year 1985 I was serving in a small town in the mid west.

  We built a KH.The loan from the HQ was $25.000. After it was built it was 2-3 times worth more.

  Before we consider having a KH built we ask the members how much money can they give each

  month , to be sure we could afford the note. That loan is paid off, the members in that small town

  have faithfully for years made those payment to HQ. I can not remerber the interest rate the society

  charge us but it was low..But for some reason if the KH is disband what happen to the money?

  Does Anyone Miss Being In The Jehovah's Witness Cult?

  i saw 6 jw zombies walking up a hill near where i live the other day.

  they all were dressed nicely.

  they walked together in twos.

  I miss as a elder dealing with marriage problems among the friends, neglecting my kids (4).I miss working

  nites, in order too serve the cong. A typical day when I was serveing as a elder. Go to work 11pm-7am

  Come home and cook breakfast for kids and get them ready for school. Get ready for field service.Get home around 1pm.Sleep 1-4pm

  Since I was the service overseer, bookstudy conductor, secretary, school overseer, watchtower conductor,

  Talks on sundays when I wasn,t conducting the watchtower, once a month talk giving in another cong.

  So I needed time to study from 5pm until meeting time. Come home after the meetings and get ready for

  work and start over again. There was only three elders in our cong.My kids ages 14,12,7.and 2... A great time ,I

  was much yonger at that time around 35, but it still took a toll on my body, anxiety problems..

  Halya, curious are you a active JW? I ask because my Brother a elder ask me these same question.

  He assume when people leave the Borg. it is because (1) They can not live up too God,s standards,(it,s

  not God,s standards but man) and (2) Immoral reasons, this may be case for some, but the majority

  left for their own integrity. It,s the same as a gay person coming out of the closet, whatever the

  consequence may be I can not live my life as a lie anymore. The same with us, many have lost family

  members, jobs and etc. We can not live a lie and teach them anymore.

  The last memorial for me was 1987. Since I was disfellowship and still believe it was the truth I was there.WHEN

  THE CLOSING song begain a young lady in the seat next to me shared her song book I did not have one.This was a KH

  I did not attend but I knew all the elders. One elders that I had known for years, saw this and immediately came over

  and motion to the young lady to move away.The way it was done others in the area notice it.This same elder

  daughter later became a dancer the ones that take off their garments.If you are from the Pasdena Ca. area

  you know that elder..But that was the last time that I set foot in A KH.

  i was born into "the truth" back in 1964. i made the big mistake of getting baptised when i was about 14 or so, purely to please my father as i saw how proud he was when my brothers were baptised....didn't work.. we moved to a new congregation when i was about 8, he introduced all my brothers to the congregation by name, a short bio of thier endearing qualities and how proud he was of them, when he introduced me it was "and this is our black sheep of the family, steve".. i remember living in fear at the fast approaching 1975....actually, living in terror is probably a more apt desciption.

  all of you will full well know how it was instilled into us at every meeting and assembly how we are living in the last days.. as a 15 year old, a brother dobbed me in for kissing a worldly girl at school.

  went through the marked process, judicial committy, disfellowshipped and the shunning which continues to this day by what's left of my family.

  at a recent series of circuit assemblies, the governing body put out warnings on what in their view is the latest danger from satan, designed to break the faith of jehovah's witnesses everywhere.. facebook.. yes, thats right, apparantly, the gb is concerned because a lot of people are having "facebook sex".

  they are meeting old friends who aren't jehovah's witnesses and getting it on with whomever would willingly sleep with them.

  evidentally, the gb would like their flock to believe that when jw's get on facebook and other social networking sites, fornication happens.. now, this is news.

  THE GB are becoming more paranoid each year. They are loosing control. Thanks to all

  of you. Keep up the good work. I have said this before some day they will encourage all to

  move to up state New York in order to maintain complete control over the ranks.

  Did you loathe going in field service, if so why?

  i always felt like i was not a "spiritual" person because i loathed going in field service.

  i'm not even sure why i loathed it.

  i am very outgoing and can talk to anyone, anytime, about anything.

  maybe Iam wrong in applying the scripture (Matt.6;5-you must not be like the hypocrites; for they love

  to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by men), but

  after reading that it only apply to JW,s and Mormons. What other religious group stand on street corners.
