Anyone here familiar with the Gentile family in New Jersey?
by sinis injust wondering.
was probably my best friend, moved some time ago, and lost contact.
was wondering if anyone knew the family and if they were still "in".... i find it comical, and yet sad, that i had so many friends that moved away, and are still "in".

Just wondering. Was probably my best friend, moved some time ago, and lost contact. Was wondering if anyone knew the family and if they were still "in"...
I find it comical, and yet sad, that I had so many friends that moved away, and are still "in". Previous emails from some of these friends (years ago) show they are still uber dubs, and I just do not have the heart to say anything. I did mention my thoughts to another good friend, so I thought, and they have not talked to me since... sad

letter to the elders about wanting to fade
by focariedu21 ini wrote a letter to the elders of my congregation about my family wanting to fade and voicing my disgust at the way they handled matters with my self and family whilst i was in their congregation as we were treated with contempt and so were my children just because we were different.
i personaly sacrificed my entire life for these brothers giving and giving and giving my self materially and physically, and every other way possible together with my family to the point of loosing all my posessions including my family and most recently my mother who contracted parkinsons.
as you all know we looked after her for many years together with my wife and kids without the help of the congregation nor my siblings.

I feel pain every day about the way they treated mum and now dad placing him in a nursing home and I cant do anything about it as they have power of attorney,
I assume we are talking about your wifes mom and father? Are they the ones with POA? If so, and your wifes mother is still all there mentally, you can do a one up, and have new papers drawn up with your WIFE as sole POA. Perhaps, get her father to do likewise. I would insist to her mother and father that your attention to them is more so than her siblings and convince her parents to allow you guys to make their decisions. Is this something you think is do-able?

Do they check for badges when parking at the convention for free parking?
by sinis ini usually park at a certain lot for work, close to the main arena for the city.
seems they are having their convention this year, every friday parking is impossible.
i did notice one thing though... while driving up a jdub attendant was standing to the side of the parking attendant booth (where you pay) and was starting to walk out, but then the lady i see almost everyday, said something to him and he walked back to his spot.

It made me wonder, are they checking to see if you are attending and thus you get free parking? I though they basically rented the entire lot arena? I realize that free parking off the backs of the dubs would not be kosher, but it got me thinking...

Is the spring/summer weather in your area 'odd' this year?
by AK - Jeff inmuch of our spring was very cold, intermingled with the occasionally 'extreme' heat.
so far summer [which started this week] is cooler than any i can recall, but extremely wet and high humidity.
the entire house feels like a wet blanket.. the doom-sayer types are constantly remarking how this must mark 'something' if not the end.

Diamonddizz, not really over the top, and I do agree with what you indicated. The end of this life as we know it (ie prosperity, etc) is coming to an end. Physical end of Earth, who knows. What is more important is the life that exists on it. Many instances in the past where 95% of the species died off, taking thousands of years to recoupe. So yes, the end of a worldy, though semantics, is coming wherein BILLIONS of people will be negatively affected.

LHG - what can you do about it? You can try to be proactive. Stock up on food stuffs, while they are semi cheap, especially food items that have a long shelf life. Read up on how to grow your own food, hunt, fish, etc. How to repair small engines, bikes, cars, etc. Store seeds, etc. All of these things will work for you in a system where items are bartered or where work is traded for tangibles. Ultimately, some sort of personal protection, a place to 'escape" to in the event of bad shit going down, etc are all useful...

You guys seriously need to pull your heads out of your asses and remove the numbness of the "cry wolf religious syndrome"... It is coming to an end - financially and even geophysical as in the terms of Earths weather, etc. This is by no means an indication of "god" or some Bible end times, but cyclical nature, as in the later, and human stupidity as in the former. Life on this planet is going to change drastically within the next few years, ie weather, food availability, and economic/financially. Once again, this has nothing to do with "God". What I find so comical in some aspects of many ex-religious is that they throw the baby out with the bath water, and can never see beyond the trees... mark this post, and my words, that the shit is on and will get a hell of a lot worse. One quick example is the Greece bonds, and the amount of money many countries, hedge fund managers, etc have pumped into them. Greece may take the $$$ come the 30th of June (chances are they will not), but it won't save them and like Charles Kruathammer indicated it will, for all intents and purposes, trigger an immediate global panic. Hell, France has indicated that they will be reducing the amount of money people can withdraw by 50%... hmmm sounds like the banks have no $$$$$ and are bracing for runs.
