Seeing someone reading a foreign language watchtower magazine
Good idea for a thread.....
witnesses are a special breed.
did you ever see how excited they get when they are driving to a convention and spot a fellow jw?

im a liverpool fan and am currently beside myself with exitement.
this is by far the biggest game we have played in 20 years and im getting so jittery i fear i may pass out.
Suffolk actually and its fine!!! That European Cup looks heavy doesnt it???
i was reading earlier on on the freeminds site about whether people were happy now they've finally left the jw org.. one person was saying that he realised they were all 'hollow people' who would disappear like a puff of smoke if he took a step wrong.. i sat there thinking, yes, i am very happy now.
but i remember a few years ago sitting, shaking and crying a counsellors office distressed because all my 'friends' and relatives were never going to have anything to do with me again if i left the borg.
it has taken three years and yes, non of my 'friends' have anything to do with me or my family and relatives have cut down their contact to the bare essentials.
Goodbye to the Hollow People.... sounds like a Bob Dylan song title!!! When I left I maintained that I didnt need them. I miss my friends but I feel good. (a james Brown song!!!)
the cup is half empty or half full?
the negative aspects or the positive aspects?
the ugly or the beautiful?
Half full. always. Im a jolly kinda person really.
.
1. because you were in love?.
2. you were afriad you would commit fornication and be disfellowhipped.. 3. you did not want to die before armageddon as a virgin and never experience sex.
Cos I was very young and even more stupid.
.
perhaps i would.. struggeling with doubts of course, but going to the meetings and turning in 2 or 3 hours on my report every month like i used to.... what about you guys?
Nah. I left then found you lovely people. In fact I didnt even look up ex-witnesses on the internet until the day I joined here, despite being out for a couple of years.

I think us Brits are still a bit outnumbered tho!!! I dont mind tho, its like a family really.
It still hasnt really sunk in for me- seeing all the pictures of the cup being paraded- seems dream-like. So many people have said what a great game it was- but in all honesty, that was the most stressful 2 hours of my life! Then at the end I was so drained- but so happy.
the photo above was taken by voyager 1 in 1990 as it sailed away from earth, more than 4 billion miles in the distance.
having completed it primary mission, voyager at that time was on its way out of the solar system, on a trajectory of approximately 32 degrees above the plane of the solar system.
ground control issued a command for the distant space craft to turn around and, looking back, take photos of each of the planets it had visited.
woah. I can see my house from here!!!
i couldn't stand all the titles and categories they had!
i felt they were hooked on respect which maybe in some cases bordered on adulation.
i had a problem with this because i always saw it as unchristlike.
It seems there is a lot of pigeon-holeing.
there's one consloation about being an invalid - i get to (have to) watch television.
isn't it awful?.
anyway, mrs ozzie and i settled back to watching the euro song contest which is in its 50th year.
I watch this every year, although I just dont know why. Its just awful telly. Terry Wogan is the only thing that makes it palatable. The music is absolutely shambolic, and nearly every song has some kind of drum involved- did you notice? I felt physically sick watching it. The worst tho is the voting- its all so political, nothing to do with the music. Bah Humbug!
