the jw's make such a big deal about that jesus died for all mankind and that this was such a special act.... anyway, there are a lot of people on earth who gave (or would give) there live for only one person.

who on earth would not give his/her life for billions of people.

especially if you 'wake-up' after 3 days and get a lot of special favours.. just don't get it

Too many flaws to count in the article.
Some of the reasoning very much like the GB reasoning. For example the 2nd law of thermodynamics seems always to get misused.

Question for Christians

It is pointed out that N'Kisi missed 91 times, which doesn't sound all that
impressive, not to mention the protocol for determining what
constitutes a hit was rather fuzzy. For example, Morgana was looking at
a photograph of a couple embracing, and N'Kisi allegedly says "Can I
give you a hug?" THAT was counted as a hit. Of course, we are not told
how often N'Kisi blurts out that particular phrase, or other phrases for
that matter, nor how many different photos were used by which Sheldrake
arrived at his billion to one odds calculation..

In other words, the sum of the coincidences equals certainty. Plus, this
all sounds like a case of "remember the hits, forget the misses." In
science we have to consider the misses as well as the hits. As Frank
Sulloways likes to say, "anecdotes do not make a science."

the Second Law of Thermodynamics and entropy

This second law of thermodynamics is often poorly understood by people using them as a proof that evolution could not have happened. It is quite common in nature that complex structures come to exist without a creator. Think for example of cristals etc.

There is totally no evidence for telepathy. There have been some experiments that could show some (very slight) form of telepathy, but the reasults can be understood without telepathy easily.

The quantum physics are not really open to talepathy, because of the distances involved. Compare the Quantum scale 6,626075540 × 10 -34 met de telepathy distances. This is something like claiming that they can hear you wispering in the andromeda galaxy.

But Quantum Physics does give a lot of new thinking about how our brains work, and the universe in general. It can explain some things about consiousness and determinism. (quantum physics is not deterministic).
There are some interesting theories of Roger Penrose, one of the leading scientist in physics.

But once the spark of life is extinguished from the cells of the body, any efforts to restore life are futile. All the breath, or air, in the world cannot revive even one cell.

Is this not something that is plain not true?

The Divine Name - Lost on Purpose?

the jws make it out to be some big theory that there was a conspiracy to remove the divine name from scripture.

what i don't understand is - if "jehovah" can surely preserve the bible down through the ages, then he certainly could have made sure his name was still there also.. it is also pretty clear that the divine name did not appear in the greek scriptures.. could it be possible that god let his name disappear on purpose so that when jesus came along there wouldn't be any confusion?.

i was googling trying to find some references but couldn't find much.

this is actual a good question. If the name Jehovah was so important he would not have allowed it to be lost.

America does send a lot of Aid to the rest of the world.

This is not really true. Actually America is one of the developed countries that sends one of the lowest percentages of the national product as aid to the undeveloped countries.

I do understand the problem of losing Jobs that go abroad. This is always a dilema of course. I also face this problem by the way. But sometimes I think that the people working now need it more then me.

Anyway I was just describing the difference in feeling here compared to america.

Why they call dark people colored?

I was tought in school that white and black are not colors.

And if you hold a white guy underwater for a few minutes he turns blue. If he survives and becaomes agree for your little experiments he becomes red. If you put him in the sun, he becomes pink and so on. If you do this to a black person, he just stays black. So can somebody explain me why black people are called coloered and not white?
