New sex offender in my hall

just found out that there is a sex offender in my hall.

the "brother" that i was with said " the brothers will make sure that he is not put with any kids in service".

Lovelylil - Is this guy a child sex offender? If so he cannot go out in service at all because he will come upon homes with children in them and is NOT allowed to be around kids.
Hello there. Do you recall the case of Michael Porter (about two years ago) here in England? It's been well documented on this site. I've tried to find the article which shows him out in service AFTER being given a non-custodial sentence (which was later overturned, I believe) and placed on the sex-offenders' register.

Porter was also banned from any unsupervised contact with anyone under the age of 18 and put on the Sex Offenders' Register.

This is exactly what I feared, the Dubs will now say "Oh he wasn't a real Witness,just came along a bit to please his wife"
Sadly Wobble, they ALWAYS use that excuse anyway (in my experience). Once a JW is exposed as doing something bad, they cannot be a REAL Witness by definition, as REAL JWs don't do anything bad.

Yeah, that's what this guy is concerned about -- stressing his surviving victims.
If he pleads guilty he will get a lighter sentence, so it's to everyone's advantage that he pleads guilty IF he is. He has not yet entered a plea, but I imagine he will have to when he reappears at the magistrates court on Thursday.

True...but according to reports he did not enter a plea this morning in the Magistrates Court. I hope if he IS guilty, then he will confess thus saving his (elderly) victims the extra stress of a trial.

Just watched this on news (England) and his neighbours are shocked, 'such an unassuming man, devoted to his wife and kids, a Jehovah's Witness'. His oldest victim was 93 according to report.

Ooops, prematurely pressed return...the condition of 'annointed' only exists in the heads of those professing to be. In my opinion, anyone who professes to be hand picked by God to RULE is delusional (or just living in a fantasy world).

a "Blood" experience...

i was speaking with a lady today & found out she's been a nurse in the blood transfusion unit at our hospital for the past 15 years.

i said, "i have an off-the-wall question for you...i was having a discussion with somebody about jehovah's witnesses.

i know they're not allowed to get blood transfusions but they can get fractions, right?

And I'm angered that Witnesses are allowed to take the blood fractions that others have so kindly donated. Yet they refuse to donate blood.
I bet there are loads of examples where they don't mind benefitting from a source that they refuse to donate to...have JWs benefitted from 'The Red Cross' during disasters?
