  Why JW assemblies NEED to change

  the assemblies would be get better results and get more people to come and be inspired if they were more encouraging.

  instead the assemblies are a giant guilt trip.

  don't go to college, don't get a good job, dont buy things even if you can afford them, don't play violent games, don't flirt.

  "Paul tells us in Romans and Galatians that the purpose of the law was to remind us of our sinful nature. Now that the law has been abolished we are supposed to focus on faith. Why aren't we doing this at assemblies?"

  Forgive me but you don't sound like a jw at all (I have never been a jw, married to a later convert). My jw claims he is not a sinner, just original sin from Adam. jw's are not 'intentional' sinners according to him. Oh sure, he needs to do more according the borg but glad he's not like us regular sinners I guess.

  Why aren't we doing this at assemblies?- because jw-ism is not about faith, God, Jesus or Grace and forget the Holy Spirit they fired the Holy Spirit years ago and He is not needed when they have the gb in NY to take His place. The entire cult is based on 'what have you done for us lately? it's not enough'. They keep the flock so busy running around in fs, following silly rules, judging non jw's, underling and parroting the wt's, shunning family and not allowing natural affections that the rank and file have no time to think about God, the Bible, or Christ and what the message of Christ truly is.

  An Anti-Witnessing Campaign, Please Join Me!

  in the past few weeks, the shunning issue has become a very personal one for me, and i have begun to realize that it is not just enough for me and my family to fade out.

  after some recent events, i am motivated to start some anti-watchtower activism of my own.. i, like many others, have hoped that there would be a scandal of epic proportions within the organization, something that would wake others up and trigger a mass exodus.. while i am still hopeful that this may happen, it seems that the organization is too good at damage control, and heightening the paranoia surrounding apostates.. but what if the ex-witness community tried a different approach?.

  what if, to borrow a hockey term, a sort of shut out situation was created?.

  My wife and i, cake for our daughters...hm

  so recently it was my daughters b-day and my wonderful wife thought of a great idea....lets get her a cake.

  so some family came to town and we did cake and a few gifts.

  interesting developments as my wife and i have not been to the meetings in abouuuuuut a month....and have been incredibly irregukar in attendance the past six months.

  it's been 6 months now since my old computer died.

  a good friend of our's had a spare computer her husband never used so she asked me if i would like to have it.

  after cleaning it up inside and out i found out i could not remember my password and the e-mail i gave them i no longer use.

  As an outsider this stood out to me "The latest rumor was that his son (who is a baptized brother) showed up at the KH without a tie on."- in the real world who the hell would care much less even make a passing comment on it? and yet it is 'rumored' within the dub world?!

  31 years young tomorrow, B Day...four years of freedom from the towers...

  joined this website in july 2010 and havent looked back...so happy to be watchtower free!!!!

  (i was born feb 16th 1983).. i'll be 31 years old tomorrow and i feel indifferent about it.

  as usually my mom said your gonna be 31 but she didnt say happy birthday.
