  Jehovah's Witness Debate in Southern CA

  for anyone who lives in so cal and is interested, we are having a formal debate between a jw and a christian pastor.

  the topic of discussion will be the trinity.

  the event is wednesday, oct 5th, at 7pm at the rock church in san diego, ca.

  Did God ever grant what you asked for in prayer?

  i was an active witness, and i didn't feel as if god granted anything i asked for in prayers.

  i didn't ask anything out of the ordinary.

  since the witnesses say that they are god's followers and that he blesses them, i wonder in what way he blesses individuals when they pray?.

  Well, I haven’t hit the lottery yet.

  Maybe that is not part of God's divine plan for your life

  I had God answer my prayers many of times.. its just sometimes we have to accept "no" for an answer....

  Of cause yes Faith is an important thing.....and to pray without ceasing

  God knows what is best for us..... sometimes the greatest blessings is when he does say "no"

  like a school counselor Eva??

  Oh and I'm not fond of spiders either...spent the early part of my life in a house that had black widows everywhere...so a spider meant possible death...or in the least a trip to the emergency room. Now I just kind of hate them because they invade my territory.

  Sleep

  whats the longest hours you've been without sleep for?.

  right now i havn't slept for over 24 hours....one of my friends havn't slept for approx 48 hours.

  i went to a sleepover and didn't sleep .

  Wow you all stayed up for pretty long ....72 hours wow?

  I skipped a night of sleep and I am already dizzy and sick...also had my posts cut down to 5 temporary here *note to self to not post on forum when half asleep....can wake up almost banned....*

  But I also have an annoying cold and all....

  Oh dear... I am extremly cranky when i'm tired....

  man that reality show was cruel! its no good depriving oneself from sleep.....

  I am not JW but i have a q uestion for you guys and gals

  k theres this girl at my school, i absolutely fell in love with her, i'm serious to, it's not just a fling....it's love, her eyes, her smile, her personality, i truely love her, and recently she told me she couldn't go out with me because of her religion,(jw), she crushed my heart, .

  now plzzzzz tell me.......when would she ever be allowed to date...cause this feeling for her will never die......i love her.

  why would i get a feeling as important as this, if it could never be

  LostSoul...I met someone in a similar situation as you....

  if you are young....at first they didn't like the idea but then they realised its the wisest desition to make......

  For now just be friends until you are older.....if you love this girl then study hard on the jw's and pray for guidance from our father

  Do you like this when it happens to you?

  i have been on message boards for years, not so much former witness boards, but political or even just general topics.

  in so doing, something always happens and i wonder if i am the only one who finds this annoying.. you type something, perhaps a topic or a response and you don't think it is all that important to check all spelling and make sure grammar is perfect.

  after all, it's not school anymore and we are not being graded.

  Oh I HATE I HATE I HATE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  I made a new thread here once and it turned into lets point out evanescence's spelling errors thread....I can link it you to it if you want

  I'm like so what if I ain't the best perfect speller in the world!!!

  It was funny on one forum website I was on....the people were so powernoid with spelling that they even had spell check set up, make one slip and even the admins and mods are all over you I got banned there in the end and half the reason was because of my spelling errors

  Mods, do you ever wish you could go through peoples posts and fix up their spelling and grammer?
