Well we have turned into a recession, and it's probably going to be a bad one. The best economists in the world can't tell you what oil prices will be doing in five or ten years. There could be tough times ahead. It's an Armageddonists bread and butter.

1: Jehovahs Witnesses refusing blood.

Letter From My Elder Brother 2 Years Ago ; My Reply to Him
by flipper inas some of you know, me and my wife 2 years ago were accused of " circumstancial fornication" 1 month before we were married because my ex wife ( divorced 1998) and my youngest daughter , both witnesses, drove an hour and a half away from where they lived to find me at my fiances house at 9:30 a.m. in the morning to take my fiance to get her tires fixed.
both my fiance and me were fully clothed !
then my ex-wife ran and gossipped to my witness parents and older siblings about it , bringing about them writing condemning letters to me ; without even checking out the accuracy of the false charges.

New Aussie craze KRISPY KREME doughnuts --What is in them? WHY?
by Witness 007 inpeople are driving for miles to the few shops that have opened....many pioneers leave there own congregation territory to buy some 1 hour drive away....i took a box to my witness work mates...they acted like i was giving them gold!
poor witnesses.
they do taste excellent fresh....coffee shops like "starbucks" never took off here....were not big on coffee.

I walk past a Krispy Kreme twice a day on the way to work - I've never seen more than three people in there at a time. They're good for a bribe though, I've taken a box to work occasionally, it's amazing how many friends you can make with a box of doughnuts. Up to twelve, actually.
They're just doughnuts. I don't know how that place has stayed in business; they have to import a $20K machine to start with, and the most anybody sitting down ever pays is $5 for a coffee and doughnut.

Wife attending DC, what can I expect when she returns?
by insearchoftruth inmy wife has recently been contacted by a pesky meddling sister about restarting a bs that she stopped almost a year ago and she is going to be attending the assembly in hampton, va in a couple of weeks.. i have no idea what these are like, and was wondering if you all could provide me some read ahead material so i know what areas they will hit on, as well as be able to prepare me for her attitude and mood on her return, not only each evening, but also after the event is over.

Ran into old JW friend in the airport...Correspondence has ensued...
by Confession init was the same weekend that my mom and dad, to my surprise, agreed to meet with me.
i was in midland, michigan, about a month ago, only an hour or so from where they live.
in the airport on monday morning, in walked john, someone i remembered well from the jw congregation of my youth.
