5vivid memory with confusing contradiction...
by zanex ini had a very clear dream the other night and it continues to play itself out in my mind again and again...i can recall with sharp clarity years ago when i was 12 and very much impressed with my father...he turned to me and said something i will never forget...i had asked him what he wanted...just in general and he told me that he wanted "more" he was not real clear as to what the "more" was and at the time i didnt understand but now, pushing 30, i know what he meant by that.
at the same time tho he is a jw elder and locked into a box that will never allow him to achieve the ultimate fruition of what he wants.
as a member of that org the one thing that has always set him apart as a person is the one thing that he will never be allowed to cultivate...the desire to learn more and to be set apart by that study and wisdom is something that he has always thrived on so it seems rather odd to me that he would do something so contradictory to who he is as a person...lol.

have you found some new band or artist that you would reccomend we listen to...for this to work we would need to know what style of music you normally listen to and then we can know if its what we would enjoy...eg.
i like pink floyd...genesis...yes...etc.....................and have just found mercury rev......brill

i was at a feeder gig tonight....kinda crossover indie/punk/rock but definately tuneful....had just heard one cd...pushing the senses...but now listening to back catalogue

Why is an elder removed?
by purplesofa inthere is an elder at my hall that was removed last week.. he was not df, he still is in good standing.
he did not request it.. how can an elder be removed?.
what is the process?.

no purple sofa they wouldnt..so if that is happening at least you can rule out any wrongdoing on his part....and to be fair the elders must be not collectively against him or they would use him for nothing at least for a while...it certainly seems a bit strange...
oh and well done blueblades...i think it is shocking that family members who have positions are afraid to.risk them to help a sibling spouse or child...they are afraid they will lose the position or some future potential priveledge and may well lose the family member as a result...i am facing exactly that scenario at the mo...all my family (except 1 sis) went along with the jc decision even when they knew it was wrong and while their being prepared to fight for me wouldnt have made a difference to the j.c. it would have made a difference to me

4. when the pdf file comes up, go to page 3 and you will find that the watch tower of jehovah's witnesses is listed as a (new idp site) and (participant center).

voyager......thank you for that in depth explanation and extensive research......it seems churlish to critisize the objective of aidafrique (+ i know that is not what is happening here)...but the wts has left itself between a rock and a hard place here...the cause is a noble one and yet the argumentation used about satan transforming himself into an angel of light in the live forever book is that orgs like the mafia may seem to be benefactors on the surface but are up to all sorts of no good behind the scenes...and the wts has left itself open to that kind of accusation
how they will ever be able again to say in print that the u.n. is a disgusting thing is beyond me and yet they will have to if that is what the bible teaches

maybe he was fighting on behalf of someone being unjustly treated by a j.c.....he would be questioning the body and causing divisions.....i know cos it happened to an elder fighting for me....bastards

Sport: bringing out the worst in JWs
by Pleasuredome inin my time involved with the jws, i used to play a lot of football nearly every week with the bros. i used to find it amazing and laughable how some, including elders, would start name calling and getting aggresive, sometimes to the point of making threats.
it made me realise that football and other sports can show the true character of individuals.
has anyone here experienced things like this when playing sports with jws?

Question-- Should I inform the Sheriff??
by Junction-Guy infor those of you who dont already know by now, the sheriff's deputy who told us to stop picketing last thursday works for the very same department that i do.
she works patrol, and i work corrections.
i remember when she used to work in the jail a few years ago, but im not sure if she recognized me.

if you genuinely beleive that jws pose a threat shouldnt you be prepared to do whatever it takes to reveal this whatever the consequences and right on your doorstep and not in fancy dress...just a thought
