  What is the bible for?

  i was just wondering the other day about the bible, in a different manner than i usually would (inspired by god).. it is like if i were a atheist, or something........ so what is the bibile?.

  is it a rule book, that we must follow?

  a guide we reference to enrich our lives?

  well faith in general is not bad, but if you put it into the wrong things it can be rather destructive to yourself and others.

  The dubs came calling

  i live in mexico and the dubs come to my door from time to time.

  usually i tell them that i hope that they can leave their religion because it's a cult.

  yesterday i told them that i'm gay and that i know they hate gays.

  Thinking back

  my bookstudy was at an elders house that lived a bit out of the city.

  a small road with only his house and another.

  the other house was the first you passed.....unsightly....trashed cars.......broken down bicycles............not trashy, but not like the bit of paradise at the elder house.. i remember the elder telling us how the man had become ill and lost his job working for the waterworks department, a city job, with little wages.

  Lol @ James Thomas, yeah God's still working on the new system of things but he doesn't seem to be able to make it work, maybe he should outsource the project to Microsoft, have a windowsbased version of heaven.

  Gas price in your area?

  here in quebec, ordinary unleaded is 94.4 cents a litre.

  (that's the cheapest gas!!!).

  there are 3.78 liters per american gallon, so this would give $3.57 a us gallon..... what's the price of gas in your area?

  it's high isn't? always thought it was twice the price from what it was in the us but it's even more, it's for 65 percent taxes

  it's 1,27 Euro a liter, Shell price, Holland. that's 1,27 times 1,3 (eurodollarrate) times 3,78 is alot=6.24 dollar a gallon

  What does the WTBTS make of sept. 11th?

  my first thought was actually that the 2 prophets had arrived for the watchtower, meaning it would collapse itself in the not to distant future.. secondly i thought the watchtower would say the twin towers are the final prophets for the coming armageddon.

  i'm not aware of any official communications on behalf of the wtbts regarding the subject, are there?

  in fact i did stay in new york in 2000 but i only walked brooklyn bridge halfway, never made it to brooklyn.

  well thanx for your replys, still wonder what was going on in those minds in brooklyn, I mean they were pretty superstitious before it happened, I don't have a subscrition to the magazine but didn't they write about it?

In fact i did stay in New York in 2000 but I only walked brooklyn bridge halfway, never made it to brooklyn. My question; did brooklyn HQ have a direct view of sept. 11th? If so, they should now know how sick they really are, prophesizing sept. 11th on the whole world.

  If it's up to me to prophesize about sept. 11th, I'd say what i thought first, and that's that. The Watchtower will burn bottom up.

  What is it all about? This life.

  do you ever have those days, weeks, months, or even years where you just feel like your entire existence is completely pointless, when time has shot by and you feel like you have done none of the things that you set out to do so many years prior.

  when you feel like you have been standing still forever.. you work your routine and live your life, maybe have some friends, but when you go to sleep at night you still feel like there is nothing, no point or reason or meaning for any of it, like life is a void, and all your actions, feelings and everything about you is simply designed to distract you from the fact that there is nothing, and if you're lucky you're so distracted that you never notice it at all.

  it's like some insane cylce and you can never break it, no matter what you do or how you try.

  well I know the watchtower observer, I've been active on their forum, kent steinhaug's forum that is. He's Norwegian. Recently there's been some trouble with the host of the site that's why it's moving and the original url is down. The jehovah's witnesses have been complaining to the host about the site and threatened lawsuits, so the host got scared i think. Anyway the site is full of razorsharp criticism on the watchtower, good stuff!
