TYRANNY: Jah's Provision for "Wise Rulership"?
by cameo-d ini notice a lot of people seem to simply repeat what they have been told about bible stories, even though it is in direct contrast to the evidence.. for instance, it is always said that "king solomon was the wisest ruler" and that he was "favored by god.".
according to scripture, solomon used forced labor to build his kingdom and temples.
he heavily taxed the people.. are we to believe this is god's loving provision for rulership?.

Secular Progress (Response to Watchtower, feb 1 2008)
by Spook inin response to the watchtower's insults to the potential of secular solutions, i submit the following two lists.
the first list is a collection of benefitial changes to mankind which came about as a primarily secular response against traditional religioius views.
even those issues which had some faith based support enjoyed this in the face of massive internal conflict and confusion on religions position based off of sacred texts.

Lab rats.
by Anti-Christ init always bugged me the way the jws would explain the "universal question".
it always sounded to me like if we were all in some sort of cruel experiment to just prove a point, that apparently he (jehovah) already knows the outcome not that it's important because he is all powerful and he can change the outcome to fit his desire.. what do you all think?.

A Challenge to a JW teaching
by NewTruth inthe perfect flesh (not bent toward sin?
) okay, i would like to challenge a jw belief on the flesh - so here it goes........... there is the notion that the flesh of adam was perfect and therefore not bent toward sin and the flesh thereafter is imperfect, bent toward sinning.
my idea is that adam and eve's flesh as well as ours is, in itself bent toward wanting to be satisfied and thereby 'missing the mark'.

Zen of the WTBTS
by Spook in"a renowned zen master said that his greatest teaching was this: buddha is your own mind.
so impressed by how profound this idea was, one monk decided to leave the monastery and retreat to the wilderness to meditate on this insight.
there he spent 20 years as a hermit probing the great teaching.
