Do they have internet access in their rooms? Do they have to go through Bethel as their ISP or can they go through a DSL or cable provider? I wonder if Bethel has a proxy server to block content and monitor the bethelites.

by CaptainSchmideo inif i have ever mentioned that i've seen the movies or read the books to a witness in gb, i get the kind of reaction that used to be reserved for smurfs here in america.. i am not naive enough to not understand any discomfort with a school for witches, but this stuff is about as threatening as casper the friendly ghost.
i find the books charming, if a little long winded and formulaic.
the movies, especially the later two, tighten up the plots and jettison a lot of excess baggage.

UPDATE 2: Since Freedom is Free, Why is it Taxed?
by RichieRich inyesterday after school i had to go work on a project with friends.
mom said be home by 5, but there was a huge accident a mile from where i live, and i sat on the road for like 10 - 12 minutes, and was 5 minutes late getting home.
mom was there (didn't go to work- guess why) and she was pissed.

I haven't read all the post either but I definitely agree with LT when I say that the attacks on RR's mom are unnecessary and not helpful really. Is she overreacting? maybe? but how would you feel if your child had been deceiving you for over a year? and not just not believeing but actively "plotting" attacks on her religion. would you trust them? I doubt it. I think it would probably be best for the both of you if you moved out now and hopefully with time she will come around a bit.

Sorry but i didnt see any JW parallels. i thought the movie was great though although the apparent message is that terrorism is justified in some cases, pretty controversial in this day and age, i'm sure it will be fodder for guys like michael savage to say that Hollywood is anti-american

the domain "watchtower.ca" has been transferred to wts (i assume they will have it pointing to borg.org watchtower.org asap).
my copies of the site have been destroyed, the files deleted, and my wt library cd has been destroyed, in accordance with the settlement agreement which will afford a "discontinuance" of their suit against me.

Sorry but I dont think the news is that "big", its not enough of a lightning rod issue for the main media to care, besides the journal might be prestigious in academic circles but unless its published by yale or harvard etc, the main media is not going to care, it will only be news when and if someone actually tries to file this class action suit
