  You know what is really sad about this whole thing? Is not that my grandpa, at age 92 is passing!!!!!!!!!!!!! He lived his life. It's the jw's that cant come up to me and hug me when Im crying, family that will not!!!!!!!!! Especially family! I cant cry and hug either one of my uncles, cause they are both elders. Thats just wrong! Goes to show......................................................................

  Maybe its just the situation, but it makes me wonder how after all these years, he decides to become one of JW's. When they asked him in the nursing home what religion he was, It wasnt catholic, it was a JW! Just freaky, and I guess it makes me thing a little. Not alot, just a little!!!!!

  I'll try to make the religious story short. My grandma has been a witness for a really long time. My grandpa, catholic. When his mother was on her death bed, she asked one thing from him....To always stay in the catholic religion, and go every sunday like he always did. And that he did. Until about a year ago. The story is that he wasnt giving enough money to the church, so he was brought aside and told that his mother would always be in purgatory if he didnt give more money. His thought was, "who say's she's in purgatory now?" Then some controversy over a child being molested in his church made him sick!

  So.........He decides to start going to the KH. He has gone for about a year now. When he passes, they will hold the memorial at the KH. He is not a baptised witness, but I guess they view that differently than other things. ?????

  Of course I will go, but in all my dispair, I will not receive any comfort from my family because I am DF'D! Come and go like the regular meetings! I am just beside myself tonight!

  Just venting all!

  i know i come on here a lot and laugh at the crazy stuff i used to believe.. it's a terrific place to vent my frustration at the org.

  and share experiences with people who understand.

  but i find that when some people trash talk witnesses who were never part of it i end up sort of defending them usually.

  so.............im divorced, have 3 kids, lived in florida for 15 years, now back home in wi.
