coming with an arkangels voice. most cowboy type movies involving the calvary show them the calvary attacking after bugler is given the command to sound charge (attack). Is the commanding officer the bugler? Or does he just use the Bugler to announce the attack? Or in some cases the retreat. On many fine ships in the Navy when getting underway, music would be sounded, in one particular instance the music of John Phillips Sousa (formerly sergeant major USMC0 was sounded on orders of the Commanding Officer. Was the CO the music player, the music itself, or did he just order it played to have the ship get underway? The WTBTS uses/twists that scripture to try and get it to back up the falso conclusion. Michael being one of the Cheif Angels mentioned by Daniel should alert ones to wonder why he was "one of the cheif angels. The society often twists and falsely interpets scripture to suit their own purposes.

Elder confirms "changes are ahead" but did not elaborate
by truthseeker inthe elder conducting the wt study said that changes were imminent but did not elaborate so unless someone spills the beans between now and next week, i guess we'll all have to wait.. right now we have three possibilities:.
1) the meetings are being restructured - rumors suggest that the congregation book study may no longer be held at private homes.
however, if they are held at kingdom halls, this will have significant impact on congregations that already share a kingdom hall.. it has been suggested that most announcments are made at the service meeting and i concur, but if this is a restructuring of meetings, then it would make sense to announce this on a sunday as the public would be present and the handbills will have to change.. if the book study stays perhaps it will be conbined with the school and service meeting with a question and answer review of the material with no paragraphs read.. .

fresia, seems to me that you are an apologist for the GB and FDS. Shame on you, Molestation is probably higher than even we anticipate, in the words of a former po and elder, "there is molestation of one kind or another going on in most every congregation." He has spent his entire life ensconed into the borg and knows of what he speaks imo. They do hide what people do, they don't protect the flock, its always cover your ass type of thing with them, and most of all don't bring reproach upon the society (not Jehovah). There have been two peds in the congs I have been associated with and the elders knew they were highly suspected of this and yet did nothing to protect the flock. In the words of an elder i had a recent conversation with about this problem and as to why the cong isn't told, he said, "that it is the responsibility of the present/former molester to stay away from the young ones." Does that sound like they care, he in fact told me thatl the ped he was discussing had been a card carrying member of the cong was formerly in prison for it and yet was once again accepted into the flock, and nothing was done to warn or highten the protection of the young in the congregation and nearby congregations. They the GB and FDs are at fault on this. The local elders only go by directives given them from mom.

The Army's looking for a few good... ex-convicts?
by nvrgnbk inmilitary waivers for ex-convicts increaseby ann scott tysonwashington post staff writer .
tuesday, april 22, 2008; page a01 the army admitted about one-fourth more recruits last year with a record of legal problems ranging from felony convictions and serious misdemeanors to drug crimes and traffic offenses, as pressure to increase the size of u.s. ground forces led the military to grant more waivers for criminal conduct, according to new data released yesterday.
such "conduct waivers" for army recruits rose from 8,129 in fiscal 2006 to 10,258 in fiscal 2007. for marine corps recruits, they increased from 16,969 to 17,413. in particular, the army accepted more than double the number of applicants with convictions for felony crimes such as burglary, grand larceny and aggravated assault, rising from 249 to 511, while the corresponding number for the marines increased by two-thirds, from 208 to 350. the vast majority of such convictions stem from juvenile offenses.

And you point is? What's wrong with a few good convicts, the point of being in the Army is to engage the enemy and have them die for their cause not your for yours. Convicts aren't quite as squeamish in doing so in some cases. I had several in my squad in Vietnam and was glad to have them. they were a lot less trouble than the drafftees. they the for legal problem type, were good soldiers, not problems. We shouldn't be too quick to judge the book by the cover, put into the wrong circumstances we may have acted as some of them did. Remember some of those convicrtions were for drug use Marijuana etc. Drunk driving and that sort of thing which hardly makes them enemy #1.

The Death Penalty? What do you think?
by Country Girl ini, as most persons, think a sexual assault of a child is a very horrible thing.
like most parents, i would want to put the person to death that assaulted my child in that way, but is that just?
i'm two ways about it: i feel for the child, and the child's family; but at the same time i am wondering if it is deserving of death?

Is it just to put to death a paeodphile? You bet, fry them, they will always be wanting to molest when set free, so fry them, the more death penalty the better as far as I am concerned. Why have to pay taxes to support these people, if deserving of life, well then take their life, don't penalize society with taking care and supporting them for untold years.

The upcoming book study for 21 april 08 will cover chapters 36: 22 to 37:6 I have some questions that I need some help on and they are listed below:
1. Did publishing of the Watchtower cease after 1918 when the 8 from the society were imprisoned?
2. The opportunity to "escape" from Babylon occured in 537 BC, did they really have an opportunity or were they allowed to return to Israel?
3. Jeremiah 51:6, 45 when were they written and for what, wasn't all or most of Jeremiah written prior to and just after Babylon conquered the Isrealites?
4. Does Isaiah 52:11 deal with the Isrealites held captive by the Babylonians?
5. In 1919 it is said that God's people (jdubs) began to flee from Babylon the great how did that supposedly happen?
6. In the Revelation book study it says that God will applay a comaprable standard of justice as Exodus 22: 1,4,7,9 shows. How can that be possible if Babylon the Great is to be destroyed?
7. Rev grand climax para 4, it mentions "further, religion's blessing has been bestowed on the lavish buying sprees and drunken orgies that accompany the celebration of the Christ dishonoring Christmas and other so called holy days. How is this so? The paragraph that the Encyclopaedia Britannica states "The Tokugawa troops found themselves fighting against a foe whose banners were emblazoned with the cross, and with images of the Savior and St. James, the patron saint of Spain. The victorious faction persecuted and practically wiped out Catholicism in that land. the church's participation in worldly affairs today will likewise bring her no blessing." Any commnets on this will be much appreciated.
8. while at times it seems like Babylon the Great is "false religion," it also seems unlikely too.I of course will be researching on these questions but would appreciate other's thoughts and ideas as well any help give will be very much appreciated.

Indo-dude and bigmouth both have good advice., I for one am immediately suspect of this incident, I had participated in many preliminary investigations of wrong doing while in the service. Things are not always what the seem at first, the first thing I would question is the 10 guy thing, he doesn't look busted up enough to have had "10" guys beating the hell out of him, probably just one possibly two. He blames them for starting it, who knows, maybe they did or he did. As for you thinking you are going to go there and raise hell, they will just shut you out, you aren't apart of the process. And yes if he was beaten or just in a fight, there will be a report issued on it, a preliminary investigation done if any wrong doing is alleged and the matter settled with an Article 15 or higher depending on the circumstances. Like I mention I have been apart of many of these and one who gets beaten isn't above embelshing what happened to make themselves look better than what actually is. Someone mentioned him getting a JAG officer involved. He isn't the chain of command a JAG won't get involved unles there has been a crime commited and then only if it reaches courtmartial standards. This isn't TV the Military Police do the investigations or the CID (Criminal Investigation Division) not the JAG Department.

Do You Believe in Sanctuary Cities?
by sammielee24 insan francisco is just one of many sanctuary cities in this country.
as a permanent residence to the usa having had to go through immigration meetings, medical tests, means tests and a pretty good dose of fear - it bothers me that the same city that i had to go to for my hearing, past armed guards to prove my worth, wants illegals to come out of the woodwork and take advantage of the services the city has to offer, with a promise that they won't be rounded up or harmed in any way.
i don't seem to understand this system at all - i feel penalized somehow for doing what was right yet, i can still feel badly for those who are scared while here illegally.

Definitely do not believe in Sanctuary Cities, they should have all federal monies and state monies withheld from them. We should never support those who are here breaking our laws and using up services meant to be for those who are "legal" citizens. Get them the hell out of our country, I could care less about how poor they are in theirs, if they don't like it then do something about the country they are from don't come over here and expect a handout, break our laws show disrespect for our laws and then expect us to look at them with benign eyes. Get out I say. That being said I do believe the migrant workers should be able to get visas easily to come here and work just don't bring your families with you until you get to be a legal citizen. If you are here legally then no problem. I feel the same way about churches that act like they are sanctuaries for the illegals also, they should have their tax free status permanently revoked and all those taking part in shielding illegals should also be rounded up and jailed!!!!!

I can't believe people are so willing to give away their freedom. What a bunch of pussies, can't take action for themselves. It won't be far away and they will be seeking to do other things to violate your rights.
