My non JW hubby just got a call from an elder!!!!!!

mike just rang me to say that one of my old elders was chasing me up.. bit of background information my brother and his now wife both baptized fell pregnant before they got married, her mum also a jw paid for an abortion!!!!!

anyway my sister in law told me all about it.

i too told a few people i know not wanting to get them into trouble but i guess i didnt want people to think i was the only bad sheep in the family, anyway this was over 2 years ago.. someone that i told has just recently mentioned it to the elders after two years and now they are chasing me up to see if the rumour is true.. mike told him to mind his own business and dont expect for me to call them back.

I can see why you are torn, but getting back at them will not make you feel any better.

Tell the elders that you are shunning them. so you can't talk to them.

For a change, I personally get bored of the same old scenery, not being rude it's just that sometimes you want regular coke and some times you want a diet coke.

Who has time to read more than JWD??

I personally don't read everything, I am selective.

Maybe 3 or 4 years ago it was, sadly this place does not have the volume it once did. Overall this is a great board, I doubt it will loose memebers to other forums.

i was just reading some of my old diaries and wanted to share it particularly for anyone who feels despair, who is locked into the society through family and especially for any young lurkers still in.

i wrote this shortly after i turned 15. comments in brackets are my own to clarify.. tuesday 1st may 1990. you know i frequently wish that there was some arrangement whereby you could go to sleep and never have to go through the trouble of waking up.

i dont believe one can ever actually be truly happy.

I am glad you shared this, so many dub kids are stifled by their hopelssly boring existance, I was one of those kids, I hated my life, I hated the kingdumb hall and everyone in it. I knew I had to get out somehow, maybe someone lurking is reading these posts and it will help them take that step in the right direction.
