Self -Employed or Otherwise Gainfully Employed - Gas Prices Eating You Up?

last night at the gas pump i had a verbal , emotional outburst , swearing to no one in particular - just the gas pump , until i saw 2 guys at the island down from me - so i figured i'd let it rip !

frustration over these insanely rising gas prices finally took it's toll on even -keeled mr. flipper !

i started my rant , wanting these guys feedback , " what is it with these #ucking gas prices ?

Any old ones like me rember gas at 34 cents a gallon?

I'm self-employed (1099) and do a lot of driving from one job site to another.....it's a change paying $4.19 around here.

Mom is gone

i'm not much of a poster here, but the passing of my mom on friday is as good a reason as any.. she was in deep, no doubt will be refered to as "faithful to the end" by those who eulogize her.

this new chapter in my life of course has me is a reflecive mood.

i'm sure when she was diagnosed with cancer 4 years ago that her hope was that the "new system" would come before she succumbed.

Do you have pets? What kind? Names?

Were You Ever Falsely Accused By The Elders Regarding Anything???

Was accused of persecuting the person who had an affair with my first wife by the entire BOE in the "backroom". Was accused of trying to kill the elder that studied w/me when I came in. He said he never thought that. Was accused of lying by my brother the elder while the other elder stared at his shoes not saying a word. Later he said, " Maybe I should have said something, because the charges your brother made were unfounded." Was accused by a former CO that I tried to prevent my second wife from going out in service...she lied to get back at me for not throwing my son out of our house.

Another WT that will be thrown in my face. The elders tell me I'm suppose to forgive the ahole ( he was DF'd 3 times for adultery) that was screwing my wife because now he's a pioneer and one of their favorites. "You (they don't call me "brother" anymore) have to work on that." I keep telling them to read Pr. 6:32-35. Yet, if I point to their inability to forgive me for my imperfection in this matter of forgiveness.... I'm being critical and labeled a complainer.

Singing at the Meetings is so mindless...

i was always uncomfortable singing at the meetings when i was a kid.

as an adult, i rarely if ever sing anymore because i think it is a joke.

sit down, listen for 45 minutes.

You have the "I should be the next American Idol" singer,the "low talking" singers,the "boom-box" singers, and the "five second delay" singers. I always loved it when the sound department cued up the wrong song and most everyone went on singing the lyrics to the other song until the cd stopped.

Best and loudest singing I ever heard was at an all pioneer meeting.

Did you have the bookstudy at your house?

we did for many years it was great becouse we had small children.

however you are expected to have a supper now and then after having food droped then ground into the carpet a few times i called it quites on the suppers although i'd invite some for beers after.

one bookstdy conducter announced there was going to be a supper next bookstudy so i announced no there wasen't he spoke to me after something about unwritten rules i said '' the phraseas call it oral trditions"

Had it at our house for almost 4 years...then my ex got DF'd, needless to say people got moved to other homes. I agree that the kids were always using the toliet during that hour.
