Whats up with Witnesses being allowed to VOTE now?
by runningrussianboy ini read somewhere that jw's can vote now?
it was in a kingdom ministry a few years back.
i remember being told that voting for anything but jehovah was a sin.

I remember seeing in a Questions from Readers article that voting was a decision one should make personally based on one's "bible-based conscience", or something like that. This particularly stood out to me (though I don't know where to find it!).

Who do you think is the best so far?
While they aren't the big guys, I think that Mexico v. Iran was pretty fun to watch; USA v. CR was pretty good too.

Not until long after he died. Pliny mentions that he was executed under Pontius Pilate in his letter to Emperor Trajan about the rise of the Christians and the decrease of worship in pagan temples. Tacitus also mentions the Christians. Nothing contemporary, though (hey, the bible's not even contemporary).

I was staying in the Okanagan when, on a perfectly sunny day, a thunderstorm suddenly came in. Of course, I was on my bike, on the other side of town from where I was staying. It rained extremely hard for 20-30 min. and after 20 min. of riding in it, I decided to pull into a shopping mall and hide in the entrance. Of course, 10 min. later it stopped. By that time, I was so soaked you could see clear through my shirt and I could literally pour water out of my shoes.

NEWSFLASH!!!! CATHOLIC CHURCH OKS CONDOMS!!!!
by anewme ini just heard a brief report that the vatican has okd the use of condoms to prevent the spread of the hiv virus.
this is good news and a relief to many.
in light of the growing aids epidemic world wide this allowance is very compassionate on the part of the church.

Betrand Russell said something like this: Catholic women can now prevent conception through mathematics, but not through physics.

Anyone think "good for the soul" is a tad ironic.
