Sit-down urination, just seems so unnatural. They don't have toilets to sit down on in nature... if a man had to sit in the forest to go, he'd likely make a mess of himself.

The org is going down----I can feel it!
by stopthepain in.
my brother called me today.he is 20 ,3 years younger than me,and out of the religion.he still has fear though that it could be true, but thats another story.. he told me he heard my mother and father talking upstairs.my mother said about the org "ive put 26 years into it,i think i'm done with it,i might just go sunday from now on".this is huge ,because she was a devoted nutjob witness.she made my life horrible for the 1st 17 years of my life.i had been trying to suddly tell her the truth about the troof, but i didn't expect this.i'm happy and yet i want to know where she stands with the borganization.. this along with what seems to be an outpouring of similar stories,i have a gut feeling the jehovahs witness mind control cult is on the brink of implosion.everyone is so burdened by it.the jig is up,gb,good riddance when you fold.the rank and file have had enough.my 2 younger sisters are on the edge of mental freedom.i hope they can fully get free of it.. this is a milestone in my families long and strange trip in mental enslavement!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think that a lot of people who have been in for a long time, just don't see the drudgery ending. They gave up their lives for this religion, and its been a disappointment so far. They will die, they will not see armageddon as promised.

Are you a better talker or listener?
by JH ini remember going door to door, and we knew what we were going to say even before the person opened the door.
if a person had their own idea about god or religion, we just didn't listen, and kept on preaching what we were taught, because there is only one truth, and we had it.
right.... today, i feel that i'm a better listener because i stop and listen to other people's point of view.. .

I listened, especially to the nice Scottish Protestant who said "Don't let them be telling you what to believe. Believe what you want to believe." I remember him, he could've been described as a conservative and when he learned that we were at the door about religion, he went back inside and came out with a huge KJV bible.

Now urinating in the wild is a different story. It's usually good to used a target, like a tree or a stone. Be sure to go a bit away from camp to avoid attracting wild animals (seriously).

I don't sit to urinate. Of course I wouldn't stand to urinate into a toilet in a public washroom, I would use a urinal or not go at all.
The worst part is peeing in an outhouse in negative temperatures... its hard to get the pipes working.

The British NHS........ What is your view?
by ScoobySnax inthe nhs is a hot issue at present with the forthcoming uk elections pending in may, both main parties are trying to monopolise the issue of our health service.
it is a unique service where faults of course can be found (as in the current news story) but having worked and given my best for the last 15 years in it, i feel proud of it.
what experience do you/have you had of the nhs?

The NHS system has never been copied in any other country. Strange eh?
Actually, I looked it up (I was wrong before): Canada's health care system is modelled after the NHS.
The real issue is the appaling, filthy conditions where basic cleaning isn't done,
That's a problem in British Columbia too, especially after the government contracted cleaning services out to private companies at the lowest bidder. There's been quite a few stories about people being turned away from the hospitals because they are so busy. There was one case in the news in which a kid hit his head, went to the hospital, and the triage nurse told him to go home. Later, he died of a brain haemorrhage. There has also been cases of people catching infections after getting C-sections because the hospitals are so dirty (the news went into one hospital room where the air vents were caked with dirt).\
They couldn't manage to find a blanket for my grandad when he was cold the the whole fucking hospital. Thanks Mr Blair. Where the hell has all my NI and tax being going? What's it been spent on? Whenever ANYONE that I know has had to have anything beyond basic treatment its been a shambles.
Care for the elderly is poor also. The government nursing homes are really horrible places to go to. My grandma paid a lot of money to stay in a private care home ($5000/month, and they kept increasing the amount you had to pay). I feel sorry for those who could not afford to do something like that.

First Name? Sean
Married? No.
Single? Yes.
Gay? I highly doubt that one... my fashion sense is horrible.
Kids? None that I know of (that's a joke, btw).
Other - My JW familys been relatively cool about me moving into a Christian religion, although sometimes I don't feel like I'm a part of the "family" if you know what I mean. I'm in university working on a classics degree with a focus on the ancient languages and I don't really know what I'm going to do with that (as long as I'm in university, I don't have to work).
