does anyone know if jw hq sweeps the gb board room for rf signals (spy equipment)?
i was thinking that most large corporations do ocassionally sweep the premises for bugging equipment, etc.
i wonder how paranoid they get with the apostates?

most here will know of the serious illness i've been fighting for the past two years.
well, this morning i decided to go for a stroll to try and help build up my fitness.
at the bottom of my street lives an elder from my old congregation and i have to pass his house.
OUTLAW-------Ian's story was one of the first I read on JWD. It broke my heart! It still breaks my heart that one of his daughters still keeps her distance from her family. WHY? Because she is OBEYING the Org. over honoring her father. I imagine that the only way she can truly accomplish this task is by keeping her ARMOR up. For her to drop it, even for a second to ask her father how he is, to show the one moment of compassion, could mean the difference between obeying her GOD and showing LOVE for her father. While it makes me sad that his daughter has made this choice, I do think there is goodness in her, in most people. I hope that this elder truly does have some good in him. I hope he had a moment of compassion. I hope his compassion grows. I hope he begins to display the fruitage of the SPIRIT, one step at a time. You never know how Ians comment affected him. I hope it was a moment of clarity for him. If not........

OUTLAW------Sometimes the worst fo the worst are that way to accomplish the mind set. I have no real idea if this person has an ounce of compassion, he may not. I just thought it possible. Some of the most ardent apostates on this board, have shame over the way they acted while still associated with the Org.

I don't think your reaction was wrong at all, it was what it was. I do think, that he had a moment of compassion as you walked by. Out working in his yard, no doubt allowing his mind to wonder. He let down his ARMOR! You know, the armor we all once shielded ourselves with. It allowed us to shun even the closest to us. While the fruit of the spirit produces wonderful qualities, the rules and laws of men make them INVALID! Just my thought. Take care Ian and I hope you continue to gain strength!

i recently went to the dc in duluth, ga this past weekend and i have to say, it was the best one yet.
the restaurants around the area were superb!
as far as the dc was concerned, sos.. anyway, why i have this on my mind, i don't know, but i find it to be funny:.
Something I found funny: One of the brothers thought he lost his notes for an interview. He told the brother that they would have to "wing it". Then he suddenly found his notes and told the brother-----we LUCKED out! Everyone laughed! The GOD of LUCK was at the convention!

Does anyone remember some point about the "interior" rooms, which at one time thay felt was the Kingdom Hall but now believe it to be the Congregation. It was announced at Book Study last night that we better be in the center of the Congregation if we want salvation!!

this one ranged all over the place.
i post these because i am hoping someone can give me additional advice.
wife: why didn't you want to read the daily text to the kids?
I have begun asking questions. I start by saying,"I didn't know that Jesus was not my mediator". Of course he is. "No he is only the mediator for the annointed". This gets people thinking. I have had many tell me that they do NOT believe that Jah will destroy everyone BUT Jw's, I have had many who have been shocked to learn that jesus is not our mediator. I want people to think and question. I never did. I accepted without thought. I have learned so much on this site. The few that I have told of where I get this info, have begun their own research. They want answers. Some have said that you all are lying. Then they find the truth. It makes for interesting conversations.

I am finding that many, if not all of the JW's have their OWN viewpoints that are contrary to what the Org. teaches. They associate with the Org. but when it comes to doctrine that is hard to take, such as 6 billion men, women and children dying, they soften the point. I think it is what keeps them going. I have had many discussions over the past few months. I have told a few that they are harboring apostate thoughts and according to the Org. if they disagree with a doctrine and share their thoughts with anyone, they ARE an APOSTATE!!! The fact that they will share this their views and discuss them with trusted family members is a GOOD sign.
