  The Young Witness Exodus Continues

  i just found out that , on my wife's side of the family, the last witness kid has given up!.

  he was the very last one in that half of our extended witness family.

  ten years ago, i never would have.

  I saw a picture of a bunch of my old witness friends that was taken about ten years ago. Out of the 15 of us there are 3 that are still witnesses.

  A comment about those who leave when they are young and sometimes come back: I think its because they never look into the religion and explore their doubts. There is still a looming fear of armageddon and death around every corner, so they come back. Whats the worst are those guys that get df'ed then come back, claiming they have 'seen what the world has to offer' and become super gung ho apostle Paul type idealists. They did exactly what the tower told them that the world was all about.. drugs, sex, alcohol.. become complete down and out losers then return to the intellectual mire of the JW's because they don't know any better. Those guys always used to crack me up.

  Help and advice needed soon , please

  i am looking for some advice to hopefully prevent me going mad.

  my husband (an elder) was disf?d by the jws 8 years ago for having an affair with me and consequently leaving his wife.

  he has 4 grown-up children and 9 grandchildren.

  Jules I'm so sorry for your loss and the way you have been treated.

  :and let them carry his coffin in, even though I felt like screaming at them for not seeing him for 8 years.

  I don't even know what to say to this.. only that it wasn't personal on the part of the witnesses-they are completely deluded people. After all of this is over for you you may even be able to find it in your heart to feel sorry for them. Take care

  Do you feel that "all" Christian denomnations should be "abolished"?

  i ask this question because my "atheist" friend the other day told me that he is much mentally free now since he left christianity.

  he told me that "all" christians that he comes into contact with or knows from his religious lifetime are "miserable" and that the govt should abolish all christian groups for the sake of perserving the mental health of the people.

  christians never are satisfied with their lives because they are trying to measure up to "jesus" and the apostles and will never measure up which causes many nervous breakdowns among religious people of all christian groups not just jw or mormons but many born-agains have mental breakdown as well.

  Who determines the "144,000 heaven goers"

  i am married into a jw family, and i was told that there were only 144,000 people going to heaven (jw people at that) and i know one of the supposed people.

  who determines this?

  Just got back from the 2004-2005 circuit assembly here are a few thoughts.

  upon arriving i ran into lots of old friends and really enjoyed seeing everyone and visiting.

  they dont know that im currently struggling with doubts about the organization and they think that im the same old zealous brother.

  i couldnt help but feel a sence of guilt visiting with them about our current number of publishers and how many we had pioneering ect.
