Hi all, Thanks for the words of encouragement and advice. Have to get my head back in the game, but I take your point garybuss. They have as much power as I give them, which is going to be none. Someone told me when it comes to the crunch you could stretch the truth a little, and force them to reveal their information, they would have to try to prove you were lying, but then you start playing their game and giving them power. Yes, I agree, a fishing expedition. Can they stand to let us walk away without any action? I did grate the WT guy when I was an elder!! I think that we maybe done for! -

My Point: We have a post box for our mail at the post office, and I was just heading out to check our mail when out of the corner of my eye I noticed a car pulling up out front of our home. I regonize it straight away, one of the "elders"! Infact it was two of them. One was the PO when we were "in" and the other was the WT conductor I think. I stopped my car and walked over to them. Kept them talking right at the kerb. Didnt invite them in. [Why should the wife and children suffer too!!] They just called in to see how we are. They expressed some concern that we may be feeling neglected! [Well it is nearly 1.5 years since we stepped foot in that KH people] So we made some very light chat for a time, about life and being busy blah blah blah. Rivetting stuff. One pulled out the new tract and asked if we have one, Yes I say, my son took one and then tore it to pieces when we weren't home. The WT guy says they did want to clarify two things. 1) They have heard something about a birthday celebration? I shook my head. I said that whether we did or didnt it is no one elses business, and if he got his bible he wouldnt be able to find the scripture that directly says you can't. 2) People are saying that we are free of the witnesses? To which I replied that you can never be free of it!! So I ask, where do people come up with this stuff? I haven't seen anybody, or talked to anybody for a long time? So he ducks fro cover and doesn't want to identify any particular source and says well people talk you know, nobody that we know though! I tell them that I am happy the way things are at the moment. I dont feel that we are neglected. They are welcome to call in every now and then. I dont want to change anything as my inlaws are getting on and they will need us in the not distant future to look after them and it will be difficult if we are "out". So, my question, how much time do you think we have before they DF or attempt to DF us? These two are obviously the investigative duo of a Judicial trio! It will give us enough time to compose a very brief DA letter and then we will be truly free!!! Thanks in advance, love to all.

now the average jw uses this to back their doctrine and it seems in itself virtually impossible to reason with them on it.

Yes, the comma is a smoke screen, employed by hobbyist bible translators [whoever they maybe] to sound like they know what they are talking about. As the evildoer was not a follower of Jesus, there would be no need for christ to talk to him in JW speak. No coded promises, just striaght forward. How would the evildoer who turned to the light side have understood jesus' words? Oh he means that I will be in paradise on earth while he will be in heaven, obviously?!!!! No, i think he would have understood that they would be in each others actual presence in Paradise, which could have only been in one place...that's where Jesus was heading. IMO

Nothing would surprise me with this. Just watched it on youtube.........what a load of BS. Some dub who thinks he is gaining a few armageddon points, and lotsa dubs would pass on a link to their friends thinking they are doing a wonderful thing. More hypocisy, that's all. At least the follow up suggestions on youtube are not that complimentary!!

Out of interest, does anyone know if there have been new directive regarding the note taking at these JC hearings? Used to be that anyone on the JC could take notes, but the secretary of the JC would collect them at the end and seal them in an envelope with the name of the person involved and the names of the JC and the date. Has this changed?

i had to develop my own method of placing it without having to talk about it, since i fear if i was confronted by someone asking "do you people think you're the only true religion", i might break down and tell the person at the door "no, i don't".
the witness at the door with me would scream in terror, and i would be insta-dfed.

Hi There, not much response yet. We had the dubz call, they knew that my wife and I would be at work, so they thought they were safe, but my son was home, and as awkward as it was, the sister insisted that he take it. He had a room full of school friends there, so he promptly tore the thing up when she was gone. He said the woman with her looked scared, she must be the one that the sister was studying with while we were still there. Sad.......she didnt run, now she is getting hooked up, even though her gut is telling her it isn't right to be disturbing people. RUN FOREST RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We still went out bible bashing when we didnt believe it any longer, you get more and more incongruent with your heart as you go on, and then one day you can not live a lie any longer, strength to you stillgroggy..

Let's just get something straight about 1975.

in this talk, franz pointed out the significance of the 7 creative days and how they correspond with 1,000-year time intervals.. he then said, "could the end come in 1975?
there's so much wrong with jehovah's witnesses from their rigid legalism to their faux love, but let's call a spade a spade about the 1975 thing..

Great Point Blondie. Now as all the lod dubs die, the younger ones just will not know their history. It will be forgotten. It will be the same, no one said 1975, no one said 1925, because no dub alive will know what was said............ever. They need all the old cronies to pass away, to finish their earthly course. Proof dies. Get rid of all the old publications, rewrite the history. Wait on, I have read this in a book recently. George Orwell 1984. Maybe thats when armageddon came?
