what happens to bethel workers when they get old?
it seems to me that if one were a bethel worker for most of his or her life, he or she would have very little if any savings to draw on in their old age.
also unless im mistaken, a bethel worker does not pay into social security and we all know the borg does not, so i dont think they can collect social security, can they?

I think it depends who you are. I have heard of one very well known ex Circuit Overseer being able to see out his days in London Bethel with a personal carer
But i guess they would not want to do it too often
angry towards jehovah.. i understand the angry towards the jehovah's witnesses.
i carry hard feelings towards them and their teachings but, i have been seeing many negative attitudes against jehoavh himself.
what bad or wrong has jehovah commited?
Some people have been badly hurt, and perhaps they never really grasped the difference between God on the one hand and the Org on the other. Even as an elder I always saw the big chasm between our father who is wonderful and the org that is at best , well you know!!

how thankful i am to have reviewed the new guidebook yesterday..truly.
this book book will help all of jehovahs loyal servants advance .
in their teaching abilities to spread the good news of the kingdom.. truly jehovah continues to bless his organization!!
If only the new guidebook would enhance the teaching ability of the current brothers. . .but it won't.

It is the same here in the U K . Although I have stopped doing it so perhaps I should not criticise those who do...
But I will do because , as somebody said, the whole system these days is to suppress individuality and turn out cloned boaring speakers with no imagination and being too scared to bring anything unless they can find it word for word in the W T... I am sure that lots of them could do better with encouragement and a few examples to follow.

I would support "Sexy" in that there is no reason why a sensible elder should not show an outline to anyone that he was feeling relaxed with. -after all he had delivered the contents of it publicly.

maybe this is a local phenomenon, but does it aver occur to you that jws whose mate dies often remarry in what society in general regards as an ``unseemly'' short time after the death of their spouses?
i guess the most prominent example of this is audrey knorr, who tied the knot a second time not long after ``pappy'' knorr was interred in 1977.. just wondering.

As an observation, perhaps the family oriented way of life within the org makes it more likely that a witness would want a new partner . Each to there own!

What about their own website?.. Even the most brainwashed of them would have a job to swallow a ban when their own site is on line.
As I have said before, I only got into the net after the 1999 Kingdom Ministry. I guess even they know that a ban is unworkable because it is untraceable, and their is so much legitamate use. Business, school projects etc.
But expect more of the same, in the form of dire warnings of demons lurking in cyber space, strict guidance for parents etc
these letters will blow your mind!.
it's hard to beleive that one or two small-minded men in the service dept.

When asked about Reaching out for Overseer" he said, "We e e L you have to put down something" and just made something up!

Yes! Of course I did ...and i am glad that I am not the only one to admit it. Funny though, the horror of the slaughter and genocide never really struck home until the day I really started to think. I suppose I just "Left it all in Jehovah's hands" and trusted that it must be the right thing to do.
"Amazing" - Everyone had a real persecution complex. we saw persecution everywhere,could not wait to be persecuted. I remember one prat actually saying that to a group of us. I guess it made them feel important

I dont want to dampen enthusiasm for a "Wind up" of the K.Hall folks, but in fact - thinking back to my days as attendant overseer , a d.f person would be ushered to a rear seat. (Its not easy to get forward in a crowded hall) He could have partaken if he wished but quietly ignored. No one would make a fuss about it. The partaking would not be counted in the report .

Sloppy speech is just that, and can occur in all cultures . It seems to have been "dignified" by association with black Americans.
Similar things have been tried here, Bibles in Cockney , or the Yorkshire dialect .
But it is just poor Eenglish.
