  Derek Lambert on MythVision has excellent interviews with Bible scholars because he actually listens to what they have to say and is genuinely interested in the topic. LE seems intent in repeating Derek’s content scholar for scholar, except without any of the intelligence or listening skills of Derek. Who wants to watch LE’s half-hearted, lame repeats - the cast offs from another channel? Vanishingly few people by the looks of it - only 3K watched LE’s interview with Dennis R MacDonald compared with 36K on the comparable video on Mythvision.

  Why would she express concern about AM III being around children unless he was involved in more than just a cover up of wrongdoing done by others?

  Because if he helped cover up abuse then he could do it again. I can see why that would qualify as “highly dangerous around children” from the perspective of the woman if she feels that he allowed someone else to abuse her. That could make him a real danger to children even if he didn’t abuse anyone himself.

  I think the statement “he is directly responsible” pretty much indicates that he enabled someone else to commit the crime. It would be an odd way of saying he committed the crime himself.

  Think if someone said “he was directly responsible for somebody being murdered”. It sounds like there’s a complicated story behind the statement. You wouldn’t say it like that if he actually murdered the person. You’d just say “he murdered this person” as simple as that.

  I could be wrong, await clarification, if it comes!

  When the woman says Morris is “directly responsible” she appears to be referring to his part in a cover up. It doesn’t sound like she is accusing him of committing the abuse himself. I could be wrong but that’s what it sounds like to me. Hopefully this will be clarified. If he is directly involved in a cover up that’s bad enough but obviously not the same thing and it would be good to be clear exactly what he’s being accused of.

  I wonder whose idea it was on the Governing Body to change the “faithful slave” doctrine to include only GB members rather than the anointed as a whole. It’s a pretty bold step considering they all served in the organisation and rose through the ranks on the basis that all anointed make up the “faithful slave”. In effect they’re saying that the faithful slave of previous decades didn’t even know their own identity accurately and laboured under a misapprehension that they shared the status with thousands of anointed throughout the world.

  Since they claim sole ownership of the title “faithful slave” now, it seems only right that they bear sole responsibility when they make mistakes.

  I watched the first two seasons of Peaky Blinders years ago and I liked it. I haven’t watched the rest just because I didn’t find the time. It was very violent but a lot of good fiction and drama is violent, and the Bible has violent episodes too. It doesn’t mean we need to act it out. My favourite series of all time is Breaking Bad which had drugs and violence, but it’s the psychological development that makes it a classic. I have tried to read Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy a number of times and not made it all the way through. What I’m trying to say is that I think dramas such Peaky Blinders are enjoyed by many ordinary people who have no compulsion to act out violence or sadism in their own life and is not in itself evidence of psychopathy. Remember LE has been described as psychopathic by qualified psychiatrist Dr Sohom Das, a claim that oddly attracted no legal response from LE, whereas others who simply quilted his own words back at him were targeted.

  Well if we are being stoned to death, see a vision of Jesus next to God, and feel moved to speak directly to Jesus then I don’t suppose there would be anything wrong with that at all. On the other hand, in terms of prayers at meetings, and private prayers, it seems reasonable to follow Jesus’ instruction to pray to God in Jesus’ name as was the practice of the first Christians.
