Ha, I've heard it said, the word "special", as used by the Watchtower Society, deserves its own entry in dictionary, meaning: "not special".

New Cringe Worthy Music Video From July Broadcast
by JW_Rogue inthe song is supposedly about marveling at god's creation but instead includes over the top adoration of the elders, conventions, and family worship.
lol getting a brother who sounds like a wannabe josh groban only adds to the cheesiness.

Some moments ago, when someone we will call slimboyfat was reading the forum, he realised that a story in the Watchtower magazine sounds like it is made up nonsense.

Mormons tell me that their excommunication is not as harsh. They still attend services and people talk to them. They just can't take communion. Is that true?

New Instructions?
by FedUpJW ini may have missed it, but i just heard from a local elder that there are "new" instructions for how the two one day assembly's are to be conducted and handled......fifty-nine pages worth.
he said they will now all be put on the same as the regional conventions.
did i miss that letter/orders from "mother"?

I think a lot of people used to put in a donation at the end of the day when they got a new book in their hand. With the non-release release at this year's convention, maybe they'll get less in donations.

I can't imagine what would require 50 pages of new instructions.
As far as I'm aware they've dropped the name "special assembly day" and they have one 3-day convention and two 1-day conventions/assemblies(?). Apparently there's also a push to hold smaller 3-day conventions in assembly halls.
That's about it, I think. Nothing major, unless there's something new.
I think scrapping the large conventions would be a mistake because they are the most popular. The small assemblies are just like large congregations and pretty boring. But the relentless trend is toward more and more boring, so that's probably what they'll do.
