I've read stories on here over the years of people who were DFed by a committee that included elders who were having affairs while serving on the committee.

Rutherford Exposed: The Story of Berta and Bonnie
by Farkel init was made by a women who in later years wore crotchless panties and bras which had holes in the nipple areas.
he not only knew the woman in question (she's now deceased), he has met her numerous times.
up until recently this secret of her year's long sexual affair with rutherford was kept by the family.

New study - JWs by far the least educated religious group in Canada, Australia and New Zealand
by slimboyfat inthe religion of the educated classes revisited: new religions, the nonreligious, and educational levels - james r. lewis .
the measure lewis uses to compare religious groups is what percentage of members of the respective religions have graduated from college.
the findings are similar to the results of the pew survey in the united states.

Thanks that's very interesting data. I'd say that's a pretty lopsided demographic from twenties upward.

I hope this story is true.
They clapped at the conversion I was at. Maybe slightly muted, or maybe I imagined it.

Good for the mother. The inhumanity of the people who prepared these videos is mind-boggling. And the willingness of ordinary JWs to go along with it is chilling.
Is there going to be any action against parents who don't throw out DFed children? Or is it a "conscience issue" just with a lot of pressure to make the "right choice".

Thanks for the data shepherdless. Overall women far outnumber men in JWs. But it would be really interesting to know the gender breakdown for different ages. Are men more likely to leave than women in their teens and twenties? If so this would corroborate the often heard complaint that there are not enough young JW men for young JW women to find husbands.

In memory of a lost doctrine - the vindication of Jehovah's name
by slimboyfat ini start this thread in response to a comment by a jw apologist called simonsays on another thread.
he claimed to have read all three volumes of vindication by rutherford (my sympathy if true).
he further implied that it didn't matter that old jw literature said wrong and stupid things, saying:.

Rutherford called it, "the greatest of all doctrines", but Karl Klein noticed it wasn't in the Bible.
See the full story in this old thread:

Just a reminder about voting
by Simon inthere appear to be some people who are of the mistaken opinion that endlessly clicking the like or dislike button 20x will mean 20x votes.. it doesn't !!!.
only one vote is ever counted.
1 user, 1 vote, each post.

I'm confused. If it doesn't do anything, then how are you aware of people doing it? And if it's only visible on the screen of the person doing it, how will you know if they stop?

There is science that prove God exists
by HopeEverLasting injehovahs witnesses think that just the bible is proof that god exists but they are wrong.
there is another mode for how he exists.
now we all know many scientists who are creationists now weren’t creationists until they examined the evidence for themselves.

...makes about as much sense as saying that science doesn't disprove a tea party it just makes a tea party unnecessary.
And reality is socially constructed.
