Youser's, I know that would look hot on you! It's just a feeling that I have. My wedding dress was simple but sexy. High cut slit up the thigh. Staight cut. It was kind of a celtic/ old world look. I wore a cloak. I still love the dress today. I wore it on our cruise too. It was cream. The only embroidery was a little on the front and sleeves. The dress, I think is the funnest part. Mine only cost me $300.00 Cdn. You don't have to spend a fortune to have a beautiful wedding. Then you still have a down payment for a house. That was our thinking! I'm so excited for you. Sorry I'm a girly, girl, sometimes. Gush, gush!

Do you know of any "baptized" JW's that committed suicide or attempted?
by booker-t ini remember one of my childhood friends was found dead and the police said he committed suicide.
i just could not believe it because my friend was a "devout" jw almost franatical about it.
now years later since i have seen both sides of the coin i am beginning to wonder if my friend did indeed kill himself.

I tried to commit suicide when I was about 14 I guess. I was a teenager, I do remember that. I took every kind of pill in the house possible. I was horribly sick for a week straight. I didn't tell my parents until just recently when I tried again. I was suffering from severe post pardom depression and the Elders/wife. The one who was on my door step last night was really pressuring me to do more for Jehovah, study with them, try to get to the Sunday meetings if possible. But ironically, they would say " We don't want you to feel pressured though, we understand how you feel" and on and on. Yeah right. More like they wanted easy service hours from a couple of inactive people. Being my hubby and I. It was pathetic. I was feeling so pressured that I was crying all the time. My inlaws came for a visit and pressured me some more."Get our son back to the truth". I just crumbled under the pressure. My whole life, My mom, my sister, my inlaws, the Elders, this sister, other sisters in the hall, friends, so called friends that is. Always hearing how you need to get more hours in service. Read the daily text, read the watchtower, read the Bible, on and on. We were drones. MYGOD literally. So that was it. I took all of my antidepressants and sleeping pills. Unfortunately I was low on them and here I am being badgered by them still. Actually I'm glad I didn't succeed, I've met some really nice people on this forum and I know that life will get better. It has to. It always does. It's sad the stories of people who like myself have tried to commit suicide because of that JW ORGANIZATION!!!!!CULT!!!!! Be strong people, please be strong! love RHCP!

I finally told them to back off
by redhotchilipepper ini called them and told the elders to not come to my house anymore.
i said i didn't want anyone from the kingdom hall to call on me.
to call on my the sisters not anyone.

Thanks guys and gals! The Elder and his wife actually do live about only 3-5 minutes from my house! I left a message on their answering machine stating that if they contact my son again I will contact the police. My ex talked to the Elder and he conveniently stated that he never received that message. Smells fishy to me! When the Elders wife came to my door! I went to the door, looked through the peep hole and did not answer it. It was really creepy, she was waving at me through the peep hole. She knew I was there. I ran back up the stairs and called my Ex. I told him to deal with this that my nerves were fried. I am dealing with my rental property right now and have bigger and better things on my plate, thank you, then D@mn JW's. I'm thinking that. Another time, a sister comes to my door. I don't answer, so she decides to just let herself in. Can you believe that. She was a real little persistant thing. I would be around back in my garden. She and the other sister wouldn't get me at the door so they would come around back and talk to me in the garden. Man, it's suprising that I haven't become an alchoholic because these people are enough to drive anybody to drink. No wonder they all drink so much. They all irritate each other, probably. If the light is getting brighter and brighter then why are so many in your Jehovah's Witnesses Organization suffering from depression? They don't seem to be getting brighter spirited? Do you think? Why is it that we keep hearing predictions of ARMAGEDDON coming, quoted dates even. Didn't it say that no one would know the time or the hour? Was I mistaken on the translation of that scripture?
