I remember being told the one during the nazi years some brothers were running from the nazis.All of a sudden a shot rings out and the nice fellow who had been studying with the JW's gets killed.Since it was wartime and the JW's were banned they had never asked this guy his name.They decided to retrieve their literature from their dead friend's coat and keep going.Well,when they did so,his wallet and personal papers fell out.Turns out he was a nazi who had infiltrated the local congregation of JW's so he could identify them all.

More fun with witness urban myths.....
by integ ini have heard many urban myths associated with the watchtower society and its hapless adherents.
i like the one where an "interested one" accepted the invitation to attend the memorial one year, and sat next to a "sister" who let the confused attendee use her bible to look up scriptures as they were presented.
afterword, the "sister" walked the man up to the circuit overseer, who had delivered the talk that year, and introduced the dupe-filled "study" to the co. the co complimented the man on his spiritual interest and asked what impelled him to come up and talk to him.

Is there a slowdown in congregation get togethers?
by truthseeker ini was just reading thelisteners post from an earlier thread, and it got me thinking just how little time dubs have to associate togther.. it seems to be more and more the fact, that the only time dubs see each other to "associate" - if you can even call it that - is at meetings and conventions.. even at conventions though, the dubs are told not to go outside for lunch, regardless of whether it is a nice day of not.
(note, this may not be true at all conventions).
where is a jehovah's witness supposed to get this period of refreshment so he can do more?

by Quentin inparents became jws 1953. i grew up under the old congregation regime, congregation overseer, assistant overseer and theocratic ministry school overseer, along with assorted ms. father df 1956 reinstated 1962. i was baptized ?63.
in 1972 was being groomed for ms position in new kh until i married a girl who was?gasp!!!
?only an ?interested person?, that is to say she was ?just studying?, divorced too (another gasp!!

No one has mentioned it to me yet here,maybe they know the society's reasoning on it is just another fake excuse to hide the real reason they're cutting back to 1 issue a month.

he now graces my right arm and has been adopted into my family of frog tattoos.
(gizmo, on my left front leg above my ankle and flipper, another little frog above my right ankle, but to the side).

Great review once again.I only made it halfway through because it is just too obvious that the WTS really wants to be the mediator between true christians(anointed-144000) and God and kinda kick Jesus to the curb.It is very frustrating to see how they write articles to make themselves look good and make those who don't go along with them look bad.
I once told a CO who came over to "encourage" me that MT23:23 and 1COR 13:3 applied to the local body of elders.He didn't have much to say about that.He then said he'd like to help me with my questions and doubts so I showed him some of my research on 587/607 bce.Well that turned into a few e-mail correspondences with culminated with...........you guessed it!!!!...WAIT ON JEHOVAH!
I' m still waiting.
Anyways,great work again,and yes,you're right I won't hear those comments at the wt study...I won't be there.

PROTEST RALLIES , ONTARIO
by SHUNNED FATHER ini am organizing a protest rally in toronto in front of the ontario legislature building, friday, june 24th from 12:00 noon until about 3:00pm.
the issues will be about the many jehovah witnesses dieing each day regarding the watchtower society's prohabition on blood transfusions and on the protecting of pedophiles in the organization.
i am also having a protest rally in georgetown , ontario , saturday, june 25th at the watchtower society hq from 12:00 noon to 3:00pm.

It's true that a lot of people have gone through feelings similar to what you are going through,myself included.Keep in mind that when you were a jw,you really didn't have to make decisions on your own,you just looked up what the society said and that's the path you followed.Now,being a young adult,you are in charge of your decision-making,good or bad.So decide you want to live a good and happy life and remember life is a real adventure.
Here are 2 little secrets to help you along:
1.Be content being who you are right now,where you are as a unique individual
2.Smile,attitudes are contagious and you look like a pretty girl.try it for one day,put on a genuine,happy smile and take notice of how people react more positively to you.
