to all christians, or others, is there any proof of the promised messiah being jesus of nazareth and if so, how can you be sure if he existed?

Thankyou for all responses.

It would be difficult for me to discuss each and every one, so my apologies. I wasn't ready for such a response.

Out of all responses however, I noticed this:

Many Jews are not. Why, even in Jewish literature, a Rabbi debated with God and 'won'. And won? How can mortal man win a debate with God?

Concerning Jesus existance and proof thereof, nobody has presented any real facts (in nobody I mean Christian believers of the Messiah) rather than hearsay based on scripture. Is there not any hardcore evidence for the existance of this man? I have heard it said that there is more proof of Mohammed than any other religious prophet. Or maybe it all boils down to the scripture :

'You have seen, and believed. Happy are those who have not seen and yet believe'

Another question for Christians here, how can you be sure that the version of Christianity you observe now is the same version that Christ taught 2000 years ago?

Do you struggle to find truth in anything religious these days?

i was just interested to see how you feel out there.

ive been thinking a lot about all the lies and wasted time and frustration ive went through for so long now, and i cant help but wonder if anything i ever believed in is real.

obviously the watchtower has lied and conned us all for years now, but who else along the way has changed the bible and who were the men who compiled it, and their motives?

Hi.

I asked the question : How did I manage to open my mind and discover the real truth about the Watchtower after so many years a slave? What made me open my mind after being brainwashed for so long?

I remember praying to God and asking for his guidance. I still believe that he helped me out of this terrible organization, but I find it so hard to actually accept his existance. This may sound strange but it is true in my case. I like the idea of having a faith, but can't see past the fantasy side into reality, because something tells me that it is all just made up. In the words of one researcher, ; 'In the beginning, man made God'

When you consider so many people have designed God's for themselves or their people, it is hard to believe that there is just one God for all people.

But I am early on my path and no doubt will come to some theological truths as I see them at a later date.

i'm afraid i don't have time to scroll through everything on this site, so i thought i'd ask the question instead - does anybody recommend a "neutral" translation of the bible that i can use as the basis for my studies..?

i just want to start doing my own research and i'd be grateful for any advice from fellow ex-jws as to where to start.
