Do You Look Down On People Because They Don't Agree With You??
by minimus inwhen i read some comments here, it seems that some can be so full of themselves that if they are disagreed with, they will mock, castigate, or be elitist with their condescending opinions.
very ''jehovah's witnessy".

Are you easy to influence?
by JH inare you the type that's easily influenced by the opinion of others?
i'm easy to influence, but once i'm back alone, i do what i wanted to do originally.
how about you, are you easily influenced?

I'm not so easily influenced if I'm not confident in the source - a sceptic (AUS spelling) from way back.

He was considered to be quite a flirt with the sisters. Of course rumours abound as to what the real story was/is.
I knew an elder's wife who went home, told her husband she loved him but wasn't IN love with him *tart* and then she left him (the husband) for a worldly guy *bastardo* and apparently it was said that she was considered to be too ambitious, never content with her lot in life, materialistic, and not to mention "a bit of a skank".
I wish them all the best, sh*t happens.

WHY are you here ? (on the board)
by frenchbabyface in.
.
ok ... to me it's not totally related to jw life actually, i'm here because i'm used now to chat with people (you know like you go into a cafe and share wathever you want with whoever as this board is very rich and full for immediat interaction), support them, get some support ... i just like that ... also of course it's very interesting at the same time to follow some news and get information that i might spit back to my familly in time to wake them up .... what about you ?

Are you still "hurt" from your JW experience?
by JH in.
i was just wondering if you still feel hurt or some kind of interior pain from your jw days or is it all passed and you have no more feelings towards this organization.... i still feel "hurt" and let down... .
afterall, they were friends, and now they just don't care anymore.

Hi JH
I see you are a Supreme One now - goodness gracious me, I remember when you were just a Newbie
Afterall, they were friends, and now they just don't care anymore.
Do you know what I say - "get new friends". Who needs people in our lives who don't want us.
Hugs

I used to make the bread emblems, so sometimes I would take a sneaky taste. Bland is all I can say... ICK.

I went to a Hen's Night on the weekend and the theme was 'Bad Taste Bride's Maids from the 80's" - needless to say I was loving myself sick in my taffeta dress, lace hairband and beads.
Anyhoo, some great music we enjoyed included: Cindy Lauper, Bonnie Tyler, Martika, Cheap Trick, Men at Work, Eddy Grant, Mondo Rock, Dave Dobbyn with Herbs (NZ), Adam & the Ants, Daryl Braithwaite, Little River Band, Sheena Easton, Spandau Ballet, Dexy's Midnight Runners - geez Louise I could go on and on....but I won't.
Someone else mentioned Crowded House - great kiwi music from the 80's - also Split Enz but they were more 70's.

Hey Ozzie
I have tried to drink Shiraz, and I have tried to like it. I even tried to just close my eyes and think of England, but, sorry to say, RAVOLTING (as Kath and Kim would say).
Sorry Ozzie, I've tried to get with the program, but I just can't do it. Obviously I've got NO class
Nice to see ya Ozzie.

Home among the gum trees
by unclebruce inabout 120 or so of us hippy-surfy-bushy-arty types rocked the night away at the old tanja hall.
it was a very big turn out for our small community.
this is truly a wonderful part of the world ?

You still write the best stuff Uncs - If you knocked on my door, I would have bought a bible off ya. You inspired me to go out there and avagomate, and find a club. So I looked up 'club' in our local paper and found one with swings (sounds innocent enough), so I'm gonna go along - they said ladies are free - and I love free stuff.
Tanja sounds like a nice place - very wop wop Were there banjo players with six fingers and toes? Just kidding of course, maybe one day when I win tatts lotto I'll take a gander up and have a sticky beak at your neck of the woods.
Great read - you almost made me want to go bush - just to see the group of female bibleman/look-alikes in big black wigs and sequined dresses - I'm loving it, sounded great.
Keep up the bewt posts, you're a legend.
